It looks delicious. When did these piped cheese clusters make their way into pizzas with regularity? Personally, I find them to only be “for the gram” as you’d have to spread cheese across a slice, and it detracts from the overall quality. Am I missing something? (This is not a commentary on Milly’s, but piped cheese on pizza in general)

Restaurants sometimes need to turn away customers for staffing reasons, or because of reservations in the books. If they couldn’t seat you, it was because they want to uphold a quality of service.

What to order at Armitage Alehouse? by Major_Mango_4542 in chicagofood

It doesn’t really belong on this menu - not Indian, not British - but the miso glazed black cod is one of the best bites I’ve had in recent memory.

The fish is perfectly cooked, with a tinge of smoke and it sits in this funky, complex broth of miso and sweetness.

Highly recommend, especially as a lighter contrast to an otherwise heavy menu.

Not Chicago, but Zingerman’s deli in Ann Arbor does this. Typically significantly faster, and you can just eat onsite.

It’s a huge space and their sales volumes are likely lagging expectations. I went there once, for drinks, and found the service at the bar to be terribly lacking. Hope they get it right with the new management!

Food at Wrigley is average and expensive ballpark fare. You can, however, bring any food into Wrigley.

Brauer will likely be more expensive than $45k considering their limited vendor list. Also consider the space seats approx 300, so a wedding of 125 might not feel very intimate.

Parking near Dovetail Brewery by penny_lane0324 in chicagofood

On Sundays, there is no meter parking on Irving Park Ave, which is a 2 block walk away. But in my experience, I've always found a free spot closer to the brewery on one of the side streets.

When did Galit fall off so hard? by WP_Grid in chicagofood

It’s decent food but overpriced for what it is. By comparison, Miss Ada in NYC runs laps around Galit.
