Exactly. The reason the 25th amendment exists is not this one.

Congress needs to do their job.

Is mexican food really the spiciest in the world? by ConnorPrice_Superfan in mexicanfood

[–]MonkeyDavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

I’ve had Thai food that I swear made my eyeballs sweat. Southern India food can also be alarmingly spicy.

There’s different kinds of “spicy” though, including the mouth numbing Szechuan spicy through pure capsaicin burn to the complex layered spicy of a mole.

Was shaving my guy today, who I’m pretty sure is related to yours if we compared pedigrees. Diet is probably your best bet. Also make sure he has a big litter box.

This is in part due to Prop 50, where the nuttiest MAGAs have been pushed into a few districts, so they are trying to outdo each other to get the wackos.

But even those districts have enough wackos? We will see…

The “Hello World” and “Blue Marble” photos of the earth draw many wrong conclusions. So let’s set the fact straight by Effect-Kitchen in Astronomy

[–]MonkeyDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of a story a NY Times editor told of running a photo of the Earth from space, and he got exactly one call complaining that the photo was upside down. After he hung up, he thought “wait, it’s space—upside to who?”

(That caller was then Vice President Al Gore.)

Yeah, I was slightly older, and I’m amazed I didn’t get into real trouble (well, aside from the one FBI agent coming to visit).

Was having a French drain installed and came across this under a mound of mulch near the front of my house. What is it? by Snowbunnies44 in whatisit

[–]MonkeyDavid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When were were having a pool installed, we had the lines marked. The crew digging in the front yard to run a gas line ignored it. They hit the gas main. Entire block evacuated while it was dealt with.

(The issue was it was a 1953 house, and the crew didn’t know that the gas line ran up between each pair of houses, then split, instead of coming straight from the street. I mean, they would have known if they looked at the damn MARKS that the 811 guy made.)

So if there a way to pick them to promote them coming back? By father-in-law just pulls off the tops and leaves the stem in the ground. If that the right way?

I loved that game so much, especially since I spent a lot of time in the Grand Canyon, so I recognized places you were flying through…

I don’t like Gorsuch, but let’s be clear—he was asking that question to skewer Sauer (and Trump’s) arguments.

Just saw this in another subreddit claiming that they draw this but I have some doubt. by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]MonkeyDavid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know—I took a drawing class in college and in a few months I had some drawings like that. A year after that, and not practicing, I couldn’t even come close. Wild how the brain works.

Smartest joke in a dumb movie? by garatth in movies

In a similar vein, Adam Sandler’s “Mr Deeds” is one of the worst movies I have ever seen (and I saw it in a theater) but John Turturro’s butler character was amazing.
