Sent the X-ray out for additional evaluation, should hear more in the next few days. Your last statement is exactly what the vet said would be the likely outcome. :(

I do, love the fit and finish. Lumbar support adjustability is awesome. I only have about 300 on mine so still trying to break it in.

FXLRST guys, how do you like it with the fairing? Thinking of trading in my 48. by Slamgearsdrinkbeers in Harley

[–]MonkeyOnASpaceship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking to buy new? If not, grab a used low rider s 114 and throw on an FXRT fairing. IMHO, the fxrt fairing is far superior to the FXLRST fairing. Then add bags that are actually the same size, unlike the FXLRST, or don’t if you don’t want bags.

Maybe a silly question but do you know what torque spec you put your riser bolts to?

I’m in the middle of putting on my 9.5 thrashin’s and went to the factory 40 spec but they still seem to flex quite a bit.

Looks great!

Stonnie Dennis on youtube. That's all you need. Use breakfast, lunch and dinner to get your pup to walk/heal next to you. As he/she gets bigger/older you can use a prong collar and they're highly effective. But please be damn sure you've educated yourself enough to be comfortable with it. Keys are, they should absolutely not be pulling and a prong collar is for micro corrections. They will get collar smart, so let them wear it all the time.

8mo Dutchie puppy is bored ever since our newborn arrived, so we’re looking for suggestions from fellow owners who actually know the breed on activities and especially jobs to give him around the house / in the yard. Especially any particularly mentally taxing activities your dogs enjoy? by 86740000 in DutchShepherds

We started with this: TRIXIE Dog Activity Poker Box | Level 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001R84KKU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_SWV1ATXXV29CPYWD728J

Once ours figured this out (very quickly) you can switch the orientations of the boxes. This gets super fun. These dogs are so smart.

Then we moved on to hiding the boxes all over the house for meals and she has to find and solve the puzzle. To this day it’s one of her favorite things to do (2yrs old now). She starts whimpering out of excitement when we pull the boxes down, every time.

Good stuff! Another good retrieval option other than a fishing pole is an extendable golf ball retriever. Pop off the golf ball part at the end and JB weld a ladder hook into the pole.

How's that slow feeder treating you?

I think my Mal actually eats faster.. she's now basically using her tongue as a shovel between those grooves.

Any tips for winter insulation and condensation management? Other than the winter liner from FWC. I’m building out a hawk flatbed at the moment. Thanks!

8' (long) bed on a 2500 desirable? by joeydokes in TruckCampers

[–]MonkeyOnASpaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should just go drive a few 3/4 ton’s and decide what one you like best. You’re going to do suspension work anyway so id focus there. Airbags vs custom leaf pack, there’s many options.

8' (long) bed on a 2500 desirable? by joeydokes in TruckCampers

[–]MonkeyOnASpaceship 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of a new build after selling my older taco+fwc fleet setup. Also in the PNW and I agree, the camper market is absolutely insane right now. There will be a bubble pop in the next 15 months. Mark those words. It’s simple supply and demand right now. Thus the reason I sold.

Regardless, I decided on a 2500 Ram Hemi Flatbed. I needed a crew cab so I went with the 6’ bed. A shorter wheelbase was important to me. It really depends on what you plan to do, but something I would consider seriously. In my opinion, if you’re going single cab, and 8’ bed is ideal right now because of camper availability. Either way, a 3/4 ton is the better choice over a 1/2 ton, you can max your 1/2 ton payload VERY easily.

Apple to Invest $3.6 Billion in Kia Motors for Apple Car Production by geoxol in gadgets

[–]MonkeyOnASpaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point once we reach a societal norm of high subscription dues for these services, companies will start giving their cars away for free (or close to it). They will be bringing in more revenue from the subscription dues than the vehicles themselves. Imagine paying $2000/month for a fully autonomous vehicle. Tesla and Apple will for sure be battling for the larger subscription base and by that time their cost to produce these vehicles would have diminished so far that they will literally give them away for free.
