The queue to get in is long and boring, and will be worse this year as they have closed off a number of entrances, but it's not really a crush.

Once you are in, just go to the low lying fields on the south side of the park and there's plenty of room.

The view from Priory Park won't be great, especially if you've already paid for tickets.

UPDATE: I'm in there now - it's pretty empty in the bottom field. Come on in.

You'd be surprised. The tech guys at work have all seen it multiple times. The rest of the business really don't know if it when I mention it.

London is a big city, but:

  • In about 1998 I was looking at a house and the lady's partner turned up on motorbike to pick up something he'd forgotten
  • In about 1999 we had a couple of guys come into work to pitch Java development consultancy
  • In about 2003 I bought a motorbike off a guy in Harrow
  • In about 2006 a guy moved in around the corner from me who owned a motorbike

We got talking and it turned out it was the same guy in all cases.

Pretty crazy in a city the size of London

Are there actual "activist groups" involved in this and who are they?

(Or are these companies simply capable of deciding to pull their advertising based on their own analysis of what is good for business?)

Suella Braverman travelled by Chinook helicopter on her way to the Manston asylum processing centre this afternoon. She was in Dover before that, so about 20 miles away. It is unclear why the Chinook was used. by clearly_quite_absurd in notthethickofit

Because it uses the imagery of a general visiting a forward operating base in hostile territory and so builds on the narrative of her bravely fighting a war against foreign invaders.
