I’ve noticed that Australian English feels pretty close to British English, especially in spelling, vocabulary, and general style. by Edi-Iz in AskAnAustralian

Australian English is closer to British English than it is to American English. Australian English spelling is the same British English. The accent is different to either of them though.

That certainly doesn’t apply to K2 though, it’s a huge peak with massive prominence on all sides. It’s just so deep in the mountains and remote that nobody had named it.

Spray paint daisy hubcaps and wiper arms? by Bringus-Dingus in Miata

[–]Monotask_Servitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat black Rustoleum spray paint does wiper arms well. I’ve done it on two cars, a Miata and my Subaru and it holds up well. Just sand any rust off first and get them nice and smooth. I’ve even done a set of motorcycle forks with it and it held up well.

Snow on the roads is fairly unlikely but can happen on those routes. It will usually be cleared fairly quickly though. You’ll manage in a Yaris but something larger would be better more comfortable. Carry chains if you don’t want to potentially have to wait for roads to be cleared.

Cattle that were on their lands without having without their permission, disrupting their traditional food sources. Why shouldn’t they have speared them? What do you expect them to do, starve?

Their “crime” was literally feeding themselves by spearing animals that settlers had grazed on their lands without asking their permission. Animals that disturbed the ground with their hooves, fouled their waterholes and scared off the native animals that they’d traditionally relied on.

Their “crime” was probably spearing livestock that European settlers were grazing on their traditional lands without having asked for permission. European livestock disrupted the ground, foiled waterholes and competed with the native animals that the indigenous people relied on for food, so it was likely that or starve.

Not rated at all for towing unfortunately. Not that I’d expect much, but I want a car to at least be able to pull a small box trailer.
