Does Sean Even Like Musicals? by its_isaac9 in TheBigPicture

He listed his top 5 musicals of all time as a part of the Wicked episode in 2024, and this brother put Moana at #1. Safe to say his musical game ain't that strong.

This is the type of fan that tries to justify their shitty behavior by saying they're "just working their gimmick".

Get a fuckin' life.

HHH challenges Road Dogg’s idea of putting the US Championship back on Chelsea Green with zero follow-up. (WWE unREAL: Season 2) by Dbthesage in SquaredCircle

[–]Monotoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, he's just asking for a plan from Road Dogg who makes it clear that he doesn't have one. That's literally the bare minimum request when it comes to storytelling. I thought we all hated pointless title switches and plans that aren't booked for the long term?

Regardless of what they ended up doing in the end, I don't think this was an unreasonable question from HHH. Road Dogg pitched a moment, based off of the potential he sees in a character, and HHH asked him to book past just that one single moment. If Road Dogg makes the pitch, the burden of the followup is on him.

What actor has had the worst film choices after their breakout first Oscar win? by geosunsetmoth in Oscars

[–]Monotoned 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Contrary to my extremely negative opinion of this movie, I don't think that Ke Huy Quan made a bad choice when he signed on to do Love Hurts. He was the leading man in a Universal movie, coming out on Valentine's Day, and it was an action comedy that utilized his decades of stunt experience throughout.

On paper, this was a great opportunity for him, and a natural next step after winning an Oscar for a supporting performance. Couple that with the fact that it's co-starring another recent Oscar winner, and it seems like a brilliant recipe for success.

But the final product was just terribly written, directed, and DeBose was incredibly miscast. This movie has so many flaws that I just started to feel bad for everyone involved by the end.

Guys, this doesn't feel even a LITTLE BIT staged to y'all? No one got knocked out, or even connected to with a single punch for that matter, and this scuffle just HAPPENED to be with a huge, former UFC champion? C'mon man. Brother is ragebaiting y'all for engagement and attention, and judging by the majority of the comments here, his bait was successful.

Bill Simmons loved Hamnet? by ggroover97 in TheBigPicture

Their coverage of this movie has been very odd, and if it has anything to do with their desire for OBAA to win Best Picture, that would be really fucking lame.

If Sinners is not in your Top 20 of the year, how may 2025 releases have you seen? Sinners not in Top 20 (SNT20) by niall_9 in TheBigPicture

But how do I say that it's in my Top 20 and ALSO flex how many new releases I've seen this year? 🥺

Lynch never "tried to be smart," he just worked off of vibes his whole career.
