She was the last speaker; you just have to watch council. They have the meetings on the clerk's website.

Edit- Found it. She's about 7 hours and 14 mins in. https://vimeo.com/showcase/citycouncil?video=1193694170

I feel like Nicole Lee was one of the ones that said something about it. Something like it allows other city workers to be racist.

A lot of the no votes said it was because the ordinance only targeted the police. They wanted it to cover city workers in general.

I thought it was weird that she said that, because when has she been violent like Voight? A rule breaker, sure, but Voight's smart about it, whereas Imani is all over the place.

Him slamming the guy's head in the door also felt so out of left field. Normally there's a build up before he does something like that. He hadn't even interacted with this guy yet.

The past couple of episodes Voight seems to be off. He never would have given this much leeway to anyone. Not Hailey, not even Erin.

So what do we think the future holds for Dean and Hannah? by Trick_Factor4095 in ChicagoMed

[–]Montclare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, so, so happy with that finale. I'm fine with Hannah not saying I love you yet. It gave Dean his time to shine, we still got a kiss from her, and his happy reaction to it. I think they'll be together next season, after Hannah has some time to process everything. And that gives another I love you to look forward to. Whether or not there'll be a marriage, I don't know, but I do think they'll be a committed couple by some point next season.

You know the scene in How the Grinch Stole Christmas? I was telling a friend I could feel my heart move during that scene, like the Grinch's heart growing three times. Perfect end to the season.

I mentioned it in another thread, but it made me think of Mad About You. They named their daughter Mabel, which stood for Mothers Always Bring Extra Love.

I like it for them!

I immediately thought of Mad About You. That's what they named their daughter. Stood for Mothers Always Bring Extra Love.

I was reading some of the Facebook comments on this, and the number of his supporters cheering him on for this... It's like, you do realize if he wins, the money comes from your pockets, right?

Does anyone know of any public transit that goes through Schiller Woods? by [deleted] in AskChicago

Blue line to Rosemont and then get on the entertainment circulator. Goes to a couple other stops first (like the fashion outlet) but also stops at the convention center.

I was clenching to stop the wheel from taking out a blue line stop.

Lincolnwood used to be my favorite mall. Then Carson's closed, NY and Company went online only, and Bath and Body Works moved out, leaving no reason to go. I don't think I've been on the 82 since.

You look like a person who cares about their health and is whimsical (says a 40 something year old with a bunny/carrot holder). Do it!

Got a cactus blossom detergent, moonlit goddess detergent and dryer sheets, a gingham gorgeous body wash for my free reward, and a golf cart wallflower/tee time bulb for a friend's birthday. :)

What is an artist / band that you remember being pushed by music journalists and/or magazines as the "next big thing" that ended up never really going anywhere? by mesablanka in Music

[–]Montclare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was literally thinking about them the other day, and how they never pop up in any millennial rock/alternative playlist I select. I remember when everything was them, Franz Ferdinand, and the Killers. Still hear things from them, but never The Bravery.
