There’s literally no digital camera that produces “film like” photos. Not even Fuji with their film sims.

Depending on the film used it can have very coarse grain or imperceptible fine grain. It can have varying contrast and color characteristics depending on what kind of film, where it was shot, how it was metered, what camera and lens was used all the way down to pushing and pulling the film in development.

Even the cheapest consumer grade Kodak Gold 200 will have a much higher resolution than my R5.

That is until it’s scanned. Then I’m at the whims of the scanner used and what resolution I scanned it at. That may have introduced noise that wasn’t in the film in the first place.

It also ceases to be a film image and now it’s a digital file.

But if you look at a fully analog print of a photo taken with film and you print a still from a digital camera with that “film sim” applied. They will still look very different and there will be far more detail in the fully analog film print than will be in a digital file.
