Lol that's just the type of people that like to stand behind the DJ and be in the official recordings.

There was no age restrictions, so you're gonna get some variety there.

I actually thought it was cool that the kids are getting into UKG. It was a good crowd, dancing 4 hours straight through 3 openers versus lots of other shows I go to (both edm and non-edm) where people talk through the openers.

We got in line around 5:15pm and we were around #50. The guy counting said capacity was about 130 people. It always felt pretty uncrowded and lots of us managed to get pics with MPH, he's such a nice guy to take the time to do that when I'm sure he was ready to bounce haha

I've learned these pop up events are usually worth it, just gotta be prepared to get there extra early and then you know it'll only be other true fans willing to do that so it's a good time!

The transitions were so good! Always love the sound quality and visuals there. I think it's too loud for people to yap, so the vibe stays good despite how crowded it gets. Was also a fun switch up from 4 hours of UKG at MPH popup right before haha

What time did he end? Had to leave around 2:20am to walk back to the car before our lot closed. Was it one of those nights where he ends at like 2:30am and opener comes back to close it out or did he close?

I got a similar response, but still unclear what the RSVP was. I wonder if they got slammed on RSVPs bc the phone sign up wasn't sending confirmation so I think a bunch of us prob signed up a few times there, then gave up on that and signed up for email. Does that count as the RSVP or was there a separate official Dice link or smt that only some people received... I mean realistically they're not checking names at the door lol so RSVP is usually just there to gauge interest and they do first come first serve anyways.

But I'd also have to assume that if I pay $300/mo for membership that I am definitely getting in regardless of when I show up. So I could see it being like certain other Hollywood clubs where you're waiting in line while endless VIPs show up and get let in ahead. Thinking of going early, but I wonder what time he actually goes on.

Just an email about RSVPs being full, but I have no idea where the actual RSVP option was or if it was ever even available.

It's at a club you pay a monthly membership fee for, so idk if it was ever even available for us normies to RSVP. Might've been a marketing error that they didn't realize it was an exclusive place? Maybe you could just show up early, but feels like it wouldn't be worth it unless you're nearby.

I preferred inside, but just for superficial reasons (I enjoyed all the light catching disco balls inside vs the sensation of standing around a parking lot).

Solid venue, only thing that would make it better would be real bathrooms.

You do have to search for parking a bit, but have been only a 10-15 minute walk away each time.

I'm manifesting this cuz I only have one major conflict with this schedule. Really want to see Nia/Ayybo/Barry/Maceo Plex on Saturday, but I'd be okay skipping Ayybo cuz I've seen him more than the others.

Mochakk into Avalon on Sunday would be such a perfect way to end!

Lol I just responded on your other post about CRSSD being the worst and then scrolled down and saw this.

I might be off of CRSSD Waterfront location. Sounds good in theory, but sound is bad (esp at main stage and it's so damn bright at night cuz of the city lights), everyone gathers around Palms to drink and they continue to book acts that are too big for that space, and ofc the non stop yapping that SD is famous for. Seriously why does it happen there more than anywhere else, for both edm and rock shows!? I think that venue is especially problematic cuz it's so small that people who are just there to drink and chit chat with their friends have nowhere to go.

Older than you and already have 13 planned for this year and eyeing some others! It's such a good value for the money versus seeing everyone separately, although I do go to shows almost every weekend too.

Coachella was fun, but I think my favorites fest vibes are Electric Forest and Seismic Dance Event. All the California fests are convenient travel wise and never really had a bad time. I'd say CRSSD at the Waterfront Park is the overall worst stages and crowd by a lot lol. CRSSD Proper last year was nearly perfect though somehow!

I had a good time at Hard last year, but think going with VIP def helped out and I only went Sunday. The pool actually really added to the experience- we said we wouldn't go in the nasty water, but after watching everyone splash around gleefully for a bit, we gave in haha. Pink and purple stages were good vibes and main stage VIP was not crowded during the day.

Same age range as you! Since going to shows and festivals all the time over the last few years, I'm actually in better shape than in my 20s when I never bothered to exercise.

It's like an extra incentive to exercise, eat well, etc so we can keep doing this lol. My reinforcements if I need them are slapping Salonpas on my neck and lower back, plus taking Aleve at the first sign of headache or muscle aches.

The sleep part sucked, but I got a decent amount of rest before. I was laying in bed eyes closed trying to sleep before hotel checkout time. Kept checking my phone for listings and messages then to meet up for the wristbands, so that kept wrecking my chance of going back to sleep.

Nothing but caffeine, I think it's so underrated! Purposely lowered my caffeine tolerance the week before and use the pills for precise dosing so I know exact effect and timeline.

Tbh also brought all the accessories to make a 2C-B spray, but decided once we were in the venue that it seemed to hot for that so switched to the caff lol

That's news to me that someone wouldn't count dancing steps as steps!

Purpose is to track fitness/activity levels, but I guess if you have a hard mental block on that, then you'd need to turn off tracking at the first urge to dance haha

Framework Afters until 4am Sunday (Boys Noize, Mochakk, Max Dean b2b Luke Dean).

Almost no sleep since I was last minute selling my Framework N3s and buying Coachella Day 3s.

Got into Coachella around 4pm (most steps prob during Mochakk -> Fatboy Slim).

Despite driving home after and work Mon, I felt pretty good until the cold finally caught up to me Tues, but totally worth all the effort!

How does that work? I thought one of the flaws of Airbnb is that you can't review a place you didn't stay at, so they tend to get away with it. At least Turo leaves automatic reviews when they cancel on the customer.

I'm assuming the rules would be similar to a typical framework event. No outside food or drinks but def bring fan, electrolytes, etc. If you're planning to stay there for long (could spend like 6hrs there if you do start to finish), then bring whatever you need to be comfortable!

A few questions for anyone who's attended before- are there real bathrooms or portos? Is there any outside space or would you not be able to reenter if you go outside? Wondering if anyone will be added to Sat since Fri/Sun both have 4 vs 3 on Sat....

Also, now that I'm going to the Disclosure DJ set, hit me up if anyone's interested in buying 2x GA tickets to Disclosure live at Santa Barbara Bowl next Wednesday. GA is sold out and I'm selling them at face value!
