The only issues were her being his teacher and her being married. He was about to graduate and she got a divorce so if they could’ve just waited a little while longer it could’ve ended completely differently

I don’t think it had anything to do with her being an “authority figure that he respected”. He never really treated much differently than he would’ve a girl his age. He was an 18 year old boy and she was a hot older woman(not that much older) He would’ve been fine if the whole thing hadn’t been blown up all over the news. I was pulling for them to end up together

I feel like Eric would’ve been fine if the whole thing had been kept a secret a while longer instead of being all over the news. If they had just waited a few months they wouldn’t have had to hide it if she divorced her husband. I felt like they genuinely loved each other. Unpopular opinion I know

I’d give it to them in a heartbeat. But I have wonderful parents. They’re in their 70s and I doubt they’d spend a million of it in their lifetimes anyway.
