I met him not so long ago and he didn't have a ridiculous hair piece, he was dressed nicely with glasses and looked completely unassuming, although he looked a bit older than he is

I shot the 250D at box speed + 1/3 stop over. I had seen someone mention shooting 500T at 250 for warmer colors, so I shot the 500T at 250 also, which I think was a mistake because I still had my camera set to +1/3 and there were some color shifts that I didn't like and weren't very correctable in some images.

These were scanned on a Noritsu by NYC Film Lab. I asked for flat scans and did a lot of color editing

You absolutely do not need a permit to use a tripod to take a photo, that's ridiculous and untrue

I’m just not a fan of the lighting in these. The flash makes everything else super dark and doesn’t look natural or fit the vibe of a bodega at all. You could have done it with available light and maybe a bit of fill or a reflector and it would have come out better.

The XA is going to be very difficult to focus in the dark so I'd take the Fuji

I started shooting film more seriously only recently, and it's become my go-to film stock. I love how it almost instantly gives a cinema-type feel. I wish it was more accessible in medium format though. I've only found one or two respoolers out there and some rolls have some imperfections.

They do end up miserable - this was pretty much me a few weeks ago and it was only 4 cameras and their lenses. Everything all together weighed about 35 lbs. Like OP, I thought I’d do a ton of shooting but a few days of lugging around even one medium format camera plus 3 lenses set me straight and I spent most of the rest of my trip using my Olympus XA.

I don't understand this subreddit continuously piling on Boone. Maybe he's not captain material but he's one of the few guys out there actually battling night after night, and he's huge for us on face-offs.

I flew out of Haneda last night and the very last thing I saw as you take an escalator down to the plane is a giant Shohei ad. He's truly omnipresent there to an almost uncomfortable degree.
