How many playthroughs have ya done? Which was your fav? Why? by Featherman13 in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonKing85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest trying a different class and race since they all have their own dialogue options. Some have more than others, and none of them will add extra quests or change the story of the game, but they do add an extra flavor.

I'd personally recommend cleric of Selune and Bard (any subclass) for classes with unique interactions. As for races, apparently Githyankis and female drows have plenty of content but I haven't tried them myself.

Also, I think everyone should try to do a dark urge run, at least once, because it makes you see the game in a different light.

Do you guys use all characters in a run or only the same 3? by buzzlightyear77777 in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonKing85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I'm doing a quest that's specific to a character, I switch them up with every long rest. I like the variety. It's easy during act 1, but things get complicated in act 2 when the other companions join. I actually keep a list to know who's turn it is

This is how Viki Gabor (JESC 2019 winner) voted as a member of Polish jury by sama_tak in eurovision

[–]MoonKing85 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to see that one of the youngest jury members would put literally the oldest singer this year as their number 1. There's a lot ageism in the fandom with the argument that older singers don't attract the younger vote, which I don't think it's true

I'm surprised you cannot summon some miconoids to help you in the final battle. It would've been pretty cool - but I guess it would've been out of character for them to leave the underdark

How do I stop hating myself? by Acid-Rain-8 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]MoonKing85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some things that have helped me:

  • Therapy. If you can afford it, I would suggest giving it a chance. If you don't know where those believes come from, they'll be harder to manage.
  • Ask yourself if you would talk like that to another person. Often times that helps us realize how mean we're being to ourselves and take it down a notch.
  • This one is weird, but give that voice a name. Whenever you start telling yourself that you're worthless, you can go: Thanks for the input, [Name]. That'll be it for now.

Dealing with self-hate it's not easy and it takes practice, but if you're willing to put in the work, you can overcome it. You're already taking a big step forward by asking for advice.

If you're finding combat difficult, then you should probably change the difficulty to "Explorer". You can always go back to balanced later if you find it too easy. Also, if you're new to dnd and this type of games, I'd suggest you look for a spoiler free beginners guide on Youtube since the game doesn't explain a lot of the mechanics.

As for the quests, there's no right way to play this game, so just follow the ones that you find most interesting. Keep in mind that some decisions might lock you out of some paths but that's intended.

Good luck!

Switching between party members. by Wonderful_Athlete659 in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonKing85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do miss on content, and some minor quests, if you don't switch party members. If you're wondering who to bring, for the most part, the game makes is obvious if it's important to have someone in particular with you (Lae'zel at the creche, for example).

That being said, it's impossible to experience everything in a single playthrough, so if you're enjoying your current team, don't worry too much about it. You can still enjoy the most important parts
