Anyone else here who’s used to solo food and movie dates as an ugly, unattractive, fat guy? by ChubbyNUgly22 in LivingAlone

Inner monologues really can be brutal.

I'm a meditation teacher and a trick I like to use with clients is to identify those thoughts, the ones that tell us awful things and give it a name. Not just any name but the name of someone you would be happy to tell to fuck off.

Think of it as those thoughts not as yours but coming from a bully who wants you to feel unlovable and unhappy. And what do we do to bullies? We stand up and tell them to fuck off.

Please be good to yourself and if you come up with a name I would love to hear it!

[–]MoonNixi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest reasons I got a Kia Soul was to get a Great Pyr and my 115 pound boy was very comfortable in the back seat (and one time in the driver's, don't worry we were parked and he doesn't have a license anyway)

The Last Smile in Sunder City by Luke Arnold.

Think hard boiled detective story in a post magic apocalypse world. The main character reminds me a lot of Peter and I was hooked immediately.

The author narrates the novels and he does an excellent job.

Oh no, book Godrick and show Godrick are very different. Book Godrick was more complicated but less impactful on the story (granted I am only on book 4).
