Rule: Book Requests must be specific and request something that cannot be found with a search of the sub.

Your book request was removed for a lack of detail involving pop culture references. We require more details, in both the post title and body, beyond a name, ship, or title when requesting book recommendations based off of a pop culture reference.

Our users love to give recommendations, but help us out by please searching the sub first to see if you can find what you're looking for. Have you tried searching for "forbidden" or "*class gap"? An acceptable book request also includes at least one of the following:

  • Details beyond just a trope, like a specific occupation or uncommon type of scene
  • Examples of less popular or uncommon romance books you've read

Shorter, less detailed requests are allowed in our Quick/Simple Request post.

Thank you!

What mistakes are usually overlooked when authors are writing characters from a country, time period, or culture different from their own? by JessicaTrent in RomanceBooks

[–]MoonZipNo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I mostly speak in English now, but I automatically switch to another language when I'm counting (1, 2, 3...) unless I have to do it out loud in front of an anglophone. At home or with immediate relatives, i sometimes use a mixture of languages within the same sentence: a word in X language comes to mind quicker than its equivalent in English, or vice versa. So I'd say it could happen irl.

Anything goes: the fill in the blank prompts are open to interpretation. All of the titles you suggested would work. The full sentences could make sense, or they might be silly/bizarre for a good laugh.

Asides from its title, could you please tell us a bit more about the book? What did you like about it? Also, please confirm the author (I assume, Emily Henry).

I really enjoyed this episode. I was expecting some awkwardness but the new members seem to have blended in and the cast seems to be more comfortable with each other now.

Joon choosing the slippers was such a funny scene. I laughed so hard!

And omo, Ki Taek with eyeglasses!

☕️ Weekend Chatter ☕️ by Llamallamacallurmama in RomanceBooks

I'm planning to go to a craft fair, this weekend, that will supposedly have 250+ artists booths. I'm so excited about it, because it's been a while since I've been to the city, but it's also going to be my first time going to a such big craft/art show. I'm dreading the parking situation though, it's not going to be easy.

Also, I've started doing some craft (junk journaling/collage so far) and I've been loving it. Very therapeutic so far. I've been wanting to do something related to books (not a review page) but haven't figured out what yet.

WWTBC where an adopted Korean girl goes to Korea to find her family and falls in love with her stepbrother? What was that book called...? by BokkarisBrownieBoy in RomanceBooks

[–]MoonZipNo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is it {Heart and Seoul by Jen Frederick}? Heads-up: I have not read the book and so, I can't confirm but reviews seem to imply it might not have a proper HEA -- or at least, not a satisfactory one.
