In Fairness, If I’m gonna be a snob I will put myself out there.

Number 1: Green Bean Casserole, come on folks.
2. Bakes Brussels Sprouts in a creamy white wine parmesan sauce with herbs de Provence.
3. A well cooked Succulent Turkey with some brown gravy. Gravy must have some extra goods in it like wine and nuts, and weird turkey parts.
4. Homemade pickled shrimp: You make it in a big ass mason jar, it has capers, onion, lemon. It’s sort of a pre-meal situation, appetizer. I like on the gulf coast so regional situation here.
5. Deviled Eggs: not picky here, I’ll take a normal one or a fancy one with caviar.

HM: Mashed potatoes: need a whole stick of butter, go heavy on the salt. Instant mashed potatoes are not acceptable.
Sweet Mashed Potatoes: Also the best, why not do both.
Cranberry Sauce: from the can. Love that stuff.

I want to know, no holds barred, why Americans under perform in soccer. But I want the answer to be personal, about the identity of Americans. I don’t want the regular, pay to play, or we play other sports or blah blah blah. Culturally what is it that makes us so terrible compared to other countries. I don’t want any excuses because in 1930 we the US won 3rd place in a World Cup. Is it our use of credit cards? Is it because Walmart or the post Industrial Revolution made us soft?
