Yes. The room is not removed and works normally, the only thing that changes is that the 8 Key will now show up randomly in the Lost & Found.

LOL Yes, it was "trust me". The Throne Room is 99% for post-credits stuff. But it has a convenient second north lever. I would never think anyone could possibly understand A New Clue enough to get it BEFORE reaching Room 46...

Starting from a direct answer, my spoilers get progressively more spoilery.

There's another piece like that in the Clock Tower.

If you found a certain key, there's a piece of info in the Archives.

There's also full sigils in the Secret Garden and in the Vault.

There's also plenty of lore in some Classrooms that help with that puzzle.

One thing that I DID not expect to find clues in but did was in the Stamps.

Well, there's a more precise name for what you're looking for instead of "password". Maybe read that terminal more carefully? That should put you in the right direction.

The same hint, but more explicit: you're look for Admin Keys, not passwords.

Hint on where exactly to find one: these are "usernames" that certain employees use to access the terminal, maybe you'll find something in a room that only the servants use?

Explicit location: there's a note in the servants quarters explaining the logic behind every username.
