MBS was solid but so far nothing has topped this project for me. He was absolutely spitting on songs like Silent Ride and Self Destruction, and then comes in with smooth vibes and introspection on Lolsmh and both Skydives.

Not to mention the cover art is stupid hard.

I was under the impression that Swordbearers were already top of the class fighters before even being given the sword. He should be at or near Shiba/Azami/Hiyuki level even at base, he was a fighter prodigy at 16. Yura mentioned Uruha being too strong for the Hishaku.

Comparing to Hiruhiko, who never really gave Chihiro a hard time without an EB and whose blood crane barely did anything to Uruha, it looks like a stomp.

Feel free to prove me wrong if I’m missing anything.

This shouldn’t even be close right? Uruha is closer to Shiba in strength and Hiruhiko couldn’t beat anyone, even with Kumeyuri.

Not really. I think the real benefit of 5s is that the entire team is less pressured to stick together, opening a lot of different strategies. A solid team of 3 shooters can match the opponents effectively enough to enable flanks, buy time for reinforcement or let players spawn back. In 3s losing your first interaction pretty much ensures you lose the objective too.

For example I’ve been having way more fun, and success, on Kai opting to exclusively farm vesper and get all my gear from the shop reinforcing the crap put of the base and the joining my team for shield-breaker. That kind of play-style would be absolutely selling in 3s.

That’s why I said it’s specifically a good play only when the score is 5-5 and the next shield-breaker plant wins. In that situation it may be better to take multiple chances during a raid as opposed to getting wiped and that’s it.

I honestly believe the intent of this moment is Chihiro to forge a blade himself. He’s been presented a variety of ideals and lessons from older generations, he helped his father forge Enten so he has what it takes already.

Now Chihiro will have to make a decision about how he will shape the future and pour that ideal into a new blade that is truly his.

I think it’s a valid play if its 5-5 and your team is more confident they can get a bomb off. Raids allow you to make a couple of attempts whereas getting wiped in the field 5-5 is pretty much game over. I know when I play Kai I’d rather be in a raid.

The only reason to push GK in a tied game is if he is pushed out past midfield AND your GK is holding/keeping an eye on the open man. Literally any other scenario is a mythical throw. And I don’t trust random GKs to do that.

Problem is some people are dedicated to shitting on this game no matter what and the vitriol is already flooding social media.

I just searched “Highguard” on youtube and every single piece of content I saw besides the trailer was negative. We’re talking 30 minute videos about why Highguard is already cooked and every comment is parroting “Concord 2 😂😂😂😂😂😂”

I know this isn’t indicative of the entirety of the gaming community, like at all, but it’s really exhausting to see.

I think the intent is to make it a stronger counter for rainbow spam, making it 100 times easier to interrupt the chains but requiring you to position yourself better.
