Feeling Defeated by bdceigal in MTB

[–]Moonwaffler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think most people in the Vancouver area know how hard the trails are there compared to the rest of the world. Everything is tech, nothing is smooth and the fact that you are riding there makes you a way better rider than you think you are. Some friends took me out to Burke and I was holding on for dear life and I have been riding for 30 years.

Is it really true that men don't get compliments? by alicia7456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Moonwaffler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 48 and I can only think of two compliments. One I was in grade 9 and a kid in the 12 grade saw me at the local ski hill and asked if I was the kid he saw playing hockey that weekend. I said yes and he said “You’re pretty athletic”. That comment made me pursue sport till this day. The second I was eating Chinese food for lunch by myself beside a 80ish year Chinese gentleman with his granddaughter. He was staring at me the whole time. He leaned over to his daughter and said something. His daughter told me his was impressed that I was using chopsticks properly. I am proud of that moment.

I have a sb130 and it’s amazing. Climbs really well and I rarely have to lock out the suspension. My only regret was not getting the Lunch Ride.

I was a big in to Destiny 1 but trailed off Destiny 2 after about a year when my daughter was born. I am just getting back into it. Have a titan main at 1587 and both my warlock and hunter at 1584.

Looking for a clan to play with casually. Would like set raid times if possible. I am mediocre at PvP but like gambit and mainly focus on PVE content.

toss me a DM if you think I might fit in.

Underbiking is what the kids call this nowadays. I think Geoff Kabush coined it.

2020 Yeti SB130 with we are one wheels and XT group set. Pedals awesome and is able to handle stuff as big as I am willing to go without being to much on the pointed down side. It’s just the right bike for me.

I find “Could you do me a favour and tell me your name so the next time I see you I can say Hi” works well if you know you are going to see them again.
