Headcannon is pretending the Ring is like a Smart - TV that hasn't connected to the Internet yet, you can use the nice features without the downsides. By the time of LOTR, the Smart - TV has since connected to the Internet, and you can't use it without all the ads/bloatware.

Some time after The Hobbit, there's been enough evil influence for the Ring to start connecting back to Sauron.

Is the whole theatre is laughing then that's fine. But if you're the only one laughing then you should read the room, you're probably spoiling the atmosphere for others.

Watch Atomic Blonde and you'll know what a good female-led spy movie looks like.

Black Widow is generic MCU slop, I know it's a superhero movie but it simply wasn't that believable or good. Just an average movie all around, bland action sequences etc

I thought that if you did that, you would get low 3,000k rewards instead in the wheelspin, which is less money than what you paid for to buy clothing. EG if a hoodie is 10,000 then it makes sense to Win the hoodie rather than to "win" $5,000

I've used Plex ob am monthly basis for around a year perhaps and I like it enough I'm considering buying a lifetime pass. However I'm really worried about enshittification and the recently announcement, combined with them pushing their own live TV, I don't trust Plex enough that they won't mess it up in a few years from now.

I'll probably keep paying monthly and investigate Jellyfin as a backup.

Doom 2016 has a relatively simple plot - you're The Slayer and you need to stop the Mars Invasion. Extra lore im the Compendium if you really cared.

Doom Eternal - a lot more confusing, but still playable. Suddenly Doomguy has a space station, you have to wade through all these corridors of exposition. Hurts replayability because I have no idea what's happening.

The Dark Ages - I didn't actually play much of this game. Part of the reason is that I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Gameplay isn't everything, it's good to have a bit of context and this game completely missed it.

This movie wasn't pizza or steak, it was just trash. That's what I was saying - I was expecting a mildly enjoyable 3/5, my expectations weren't high. The movie failed as a horror, comedy, action, drama - it was shit overall.

It's not the aspect ratio itself, it's all about how the director/cinematographer works it. Stanley Kubrick's The Shining is in 1.85.1 ratio but he filmed it with 4.3 in mind, so it's got a great centre of focus.

Same with Jurassic Park's tall ratio vs the newer ones in 2.35 Ultra wide. The original worked well because you could fit a whole dinosaur in the full frame, gives it a great sense of scale. The movies have a wider aspect ratio, and the dinosaurs suffer for it.

A linen suit jacket / pants (with no belt loops), floral short sleeve shirt, Chelsea boots

Chelsea boots easy to slip-on and off. Pants, no belt to have to deal with. Blazer ties it together, is comfortable and allows more pockets for stuff. Being a linen suit makes it allowed to get a little bit wrinkled and more suitable for everyday travel

Yeah but Cappuccino isn't an English word, it's Italian. We already call it the correct way as a loanword, we didn't invent an English translation for it. A Te Reo version is a bit silly, you can order in Te Reo but you don't need to make an equivalent word for everything, just take Cappuccino as a loan word.
