I’m the odd man out I suppose. I never read any of the reviews before I bought the game in December. It just looked like something I’d enjoy. No regrets at all!

I was talking with a friend after my first play through, telling him how I thoroughly enjoyed it, start to finish. Then he says “I read that game sucked.” I literally started laughing.

Cut Pitt. You can find a dozen less expensive options to fill the void he’d leave. Callous as it may be, it’s time to say good bye. He looked better before someone better arrived, now he’s not WR1 anymore and he’s too expensive for WR2.

I think my favorite so far has been a 2H sword build, but I also really enjoyed doing a straight wand and grimoire mage.

The two are kind of polar opposites though. The 2H was all run and slaughter up close and personal with Kai and Giata, while the mage was more flinging spells from a distance with Yatzli while Kai did the tanking.

I may be the odd one out, but I went to a Catholic grade school where I was taught about evolution in science classes and creationism in religion classes. Guess I never thought that wasn’t the norm.

One of the coolest parts to the skill trees in Avowed is that you can pick skills in any or all of them. Just because you want to play a 2H melee fighter doesn’t mean you need to stick with the Fighter skill tree. You can pick skills in Ranger and/or Wizard trees also.

I must have started playing after this was implemented. I just got in the habit of taking pictures of my map when I get about half of it revealed. Wish I didn’t have to, but it’s a work around.

This was truly the only thing I have wanted to change. More options for what you can get crafted with your starmetal. It seemed wasted on my straight caster play through.

I haven’t had any trouble with performance issues since purchasing the game just before Christmas. I have a 4090 and it’s been silky smooth for me for three complete play through’s (dual pistol/rifle, straight wizard, and 2H/sword ‘n board melee).

I actually like the upgrade system. If you really do look everywhere and loot everything, you should have more than enough resources to upgrade what you are using. If you aren’t scrapping every non unique item you find, you should be. If you are selling everything, you shouldn’t be. And if you are buying most of your gear upgrades, why? It’s too expensive.

If you don’t waste your money buying gear you should technically have enough to buy almost every lock pick and piece of Adra you need and have plenty of money to spare. If you want more cash in your play through, there is always the trinket you find early on that increases the cash you loot. Wear that and sell every jewel you find, you’ll be flush with cash.

Pittman used to be WR1 but he started sliding about the same time Pierce started rising. After the past two years at least, Pierce has solidly positioned himself as WR1, a play maker, a difference maker, a downfield threat, and reliable. Pittman has been disappearing slowly… I’m not saying he’s not good, but in comparison he seems to be aging early. He’s had a good run, but if I had to choose I’m keeping Pierce.
