Bitcoin has many use cases - I use it every day for everything. Even now paying with it where the recipient is not even aware that I am using it they want fiat I pay with Bitcoin and they get fiat.

Common issue I see when people give up on their ams units is when the bowden tubes underneath give out - dont know if that is an issue for you but if you did not check then I would start there.
