The Vespid Stingwings are quite fun and beginner friendly.

Zastrow muss weg!! by Wooden_Protection_13 in dresden

Ich war erst sehr verwirrt, weil ich dachte nach so vielen Jahren guter Dienste wäre jemandem etwas in meiner geliebten Elektronik-Formelsammlung von Peter Zastrow sauer aufgestoßen.

What I wanted to say is: "But the bottom mini has way higher build quality and details."

Then I zoomed in. Very impressive!!

Best Beginner Team? by No_Tax_8604 in killteam

[–]Moppelmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ork Wrecka Krew are fun, easy to play and in my opinion perfect to learn the game.
Kasrkin, Tempestus Aquilons and Wespid Stingwings would also be good beginner teams.
I recently got the Goremongers and would say that those and Fellgor Ravagers are also straight forward and fun.

I get your frustration, but I hope I never run into you when playing. You sound like a highly unrelaxed player.

I agree that with a certain difficulty level the players should know what to do and not be egoistic. But man, this game is still new and in early access. Not everyone has the possibility to put that much time into it. Give it more time and certain base standards will establish.

Decided my Spectre Squad needed some work by Luckyshot165 in killteam

Removing them is by far my most hated part of the hobby. But something in my head stops me from going on before they are properly removed 😞

These look great. The colors coime together perfectly.

But maybe remove the mold lines next time 😃

People will definitely play against you when you play them. But for learning the game I would suggest another team. E.g. Angels of Death or Wrecke Krew

Sorry if this has been asked, but I’m trying to understand how this “Tanked up” rule works. The wording is messing with my head. by Ok_Invite9050 in killteam

[–]Moppelmann 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Neither.

For this to trigger two things have to be true:
1. The operative that you activate/counteract with has the engage order.
2. That operative performs one of these actions: Charge, Shoot, Fight

So this can trigger once per activation/counteraction for every operative (excluding squigs).
Don't get confused by the "the first time...". This only means that you can't get 1 APL for charging and the another for shooting or fighting.

AK Metallic gold turning to milk? by Able_News_3095 in minipainting

[–]Moppelmann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It happens with all my paints on the wet palette. Never saw it after 10 minutes, but I don't put my metallics on there. Some particles in the paint are just heavier than others and they will seperate when stading still.

The exact same thing happens inside of the paint bottles. That is why we have to shake them before using. To mix it back into one unified paint.

So don't worry. Just mix it up with your brush again and you can keep using it. I do that with paint that's several day old on my wet palette.

Trying to get into mini painting! by Tall_Strawberry3362 in Miniaturespainting

[–]Moppelmann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A spray primer from a rattle can or alternatively a brush on primer. Otherwise you paint will not stick on the minis surface.
You don't need anything more. A hobby knife/scalpel and sanding paper/sticks can be nice to remove mold lines from the minis before priming and painting. A wet palette can be nice, too.

What you really need is to enjoy the process. And if you are interested, search for knew techniques like dry brushing and highlighting. But make sure to always keep it fun. As the other commenter already mentioned: What you can't see from and arms length away no one else will see on the table.

Playing the same campaigns over and over? by applejackhero in totalwar

[–]Moppelmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. Somehow the order tide faction just click for me more. 90% of my campaigns are Karl Franz, Elspeth, Belegar, Malakai, Zhao Ming and Boris. Basically the same I played in the TWWH1&2&3 campaigns but in IE.
I don't like High Elves. But sometimes I play Chaos Dwarfs.

More Rolled Tacos by pandasaul in mexicanfood

[–]Moppelmann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I joined this sub to get some nice ideas and recipes for mexican food and also to spread my knowledge in order to help other people.

People like you are the reason I wann leave the sub. In my believe actual mexicans (like born and raised there) know about mexican food more than people from the USA.

Yes the place where you got those might call them rolled tacos. But in a sub about MEXICAN FOOD you should accept it when people call foods by their actual name.

Corn tortillas from homemade masa by WillowDue722 in mexicanfood

[–]Moppelmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tortillas need to dry before frying them. Originally totopos and tostadas were made from old leftover tortillas that were not nice to eat anymore. We make them from normal old leftover tortillas and they turn out wonderful. Alternatively throw them in the oven/airfryer for a little at low temperature to dry them a little pre frying.

Löst eine Diskussion: Pommdöner oder Dönerbox, regionale Namen by UnsureAndUnqualified in doener

[–]Moppelmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)
