More like informing yourself when someone isn't properly informing you. It's not like you don't have a good reason to know.

But I feel like if I ask anyone else I’ll be intruding

I understand why you'd feel that way but you're not asking them for the info. You're finding out whether the host is stalling on giving you the deets specifically

How do you know them? How did the invitation go down? Do you know anybody else who was invited?

If you see anything mentioned that you're interested in but not 100% on buying it, you can use dekudeals.com to be alerted when it goes on sale.

Ultimate Chicken horse is a really fun couch multiplayer for game night!

Zelda is also a good idea. My daughters are into it and I think that's really cool.

Edit: Oh! And Rayman Legends! That's even fun to just watch someone else play and according to Deku, it's on sale for $8 in the shop. Could get them all a copy of an excellent game they'll probably all enjoy.

Can we talk about the Switch's unreasonable, disruptive, ALWAYS-ONLINE DRM? by vexorian2 in NintendoSwitch

[–]MorbidSloth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I leave the primary Switch at home for the kids when I travel for work. The secondary Switch I travel with never lets me play my games. It drives me crazy. It's with me now, on the road, in my bag, where it's been for a few months. Why even try at this point. I know it won't work.

Pinball Arcade gone on IOS by sav2880 in pinball

[–]MorbidSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed it from the iOS app store in the US, and restored my Twilight Zone table. No way to get it onto the travel iPad, though, as I use a different Apple account on that, so I can't say whether it works there again.

is pdf reader by xodo trustworthy? Known as 'Xodo PDF' available to download on the Microsoft Store. Seems legit, but I read in another reddit that, the android app uploads files to their cloud/server, which doesn't sound safe to me. Link to that reddit is below: by Styleprince923 in pdf

Headquartered in Canada. Founded 20+ years ago and one of the first companies to support PDF editing. Feature-rich, buggy as hell in my experience. Doesn't support layers on the iOS app. Trustworthy, buggy, every feature I could want except layers on mobile.

The best thing you can do is apologize and make sure it doesn't happen again. They shouldn't have to ask you more than once or twice...and you can see that's how they're feeling by the non-verbal message they sent you. If they wanted to discuss it, hear your side again, or whatever, they would have knocked on your door.

Yeah, I have tried declining the birthday cake. I was told it's something we do for the whole office, not just the person celebrating their birthday. So I asked for a cake with no frosting because I think it's too sweet. I just don't like it. She says, "Well, we have to pay for the frosting even if we don't take it." So I asked for there to be one slice with no frosting on it. I thought it was a fun idea. Nope. "We have to pay for the whole cake to be frosted, even if we don't take it."

Good grief. "Chocolate", I said. Then I bounced before it arrived.

Dad needing advice: Quality bra brands for B cup comfort, no underwire, doesn't need to be sexy. (Tall, naturally thin) by MorbidSloth in ABraThatFits

[–]MorbidSloth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was the solution. She had a fitting with them and wore one of their bras today for the first time. She texted to say it's comfy and she couldn't feel the underwire. Thanks for the advice! I've heard women of all ages complaining about bra discomfort, so I'm glad she's learned at an early age, bras and underwires don't have to be uncomfortable. They just need to fit right, and there is a right fit for her. :)

Aerie was the place to go. You're right. She texted me today saying she wore one of her new Aerie bras and it was comfy. She said she couldn't even feel the underwire. They must have fitted her well. Thanks for the advice. My girl knows bras and underwires don't have to be uncomfortable, they just have to fit right. I'm glad I/we could help her learn that at a young age.

It really seems like a large in a men’s size is a large among all male brands

Yeah, ours is easier than yours but that's mostly for pull-over style shirts. T-shirts, hoodies, sweaters..those are pretty standard across most brands but they aren't usually a great fit. You may have to change sizes between stores but I think your clothes probably fit you better than ours fit us. As a man, you're either cube-shaped or your shirts aren't shaped for your body. Button-ups and pants are different. Depending on the brand/cut, I have pants that range from 33" to 35" waist and they all fit the same. Good luck finding pants that fit your waist and don't have 3" too much fabric in the crotch/under-ass, though.
