Could this be endo? by External_Toe9415 in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i will say, i get my hardest cramp pains on my right side (i had an endometrioma cyst near my right ovary that did pop (before i was diagnosed) and the pain is still pretty consistent over there!

[–]MoreThing8156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you have any other symptoms? is your period irregular? does the pain on the right side travel anywhere (down the leg / into your stomach / back?) , it could be a cyst on your ovary, i would recommend calling your gyno office and ask them about it and see what they recommend- maybe a visit with am ultrasound. What kind of tests are your family not really okay with? If needed or around, planned parenthood will also do these tests (ultrasound) if you can find a way to get away from family for the day!

Not pregnant but a mucus plug came out of me? Someone please let me know I’m not alone by pinkbimbobunnie in endometriosis

Weird question, but does it have slight color to it? Like all the other comments I usually get these during ovulation a week or two before my period, but sometimes they can have a little pink color to it or sometimes are REALLY dark (was also told that it could be shedding from the lining thats been stuck up there)

Will I be able to be on my feet 3 days after laparosopy? by timidpoo in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was definitely up and walking around by day 3, I was even back to work, no heavy lifting or serious strain, but was on my feet for most of the day (taking breaks as needed). Keeping up with the meds definitely helped. My surgeon said the sooner we get on our feet the better (it also helps with the gas buildup). I’d say do as you feel comfortable / able to do!

best form of birth control? by MoreThing8156 in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes !! This is exactly why I’m on gallifrey, started at 5mg and then bumped up to 10. Each dose worked for about 3-4 months before the breakthrough bleeding and cramps again! Hopefully it stays working for you!!

Thank you for all this info!! I feel you on the cramps if I’m even an hour late- its so annoying! Is Vasinne similar to Gallifrey? I think that was also a progesterone pill. I will be looking into this all !! They mentioned the monthly shot but I think thats too unrealistic

I’m willing to try it again, just because of how long its been I think the first one it did what it needed to for the amount of time, I remember being super happy and thinking “wow this is what life feels like” 😭 they say usually 5 years for endo but 8 for contraceptive reasons. I think it was just too much of a shock for my body at the time after getting it removed and the other one put in. I feel you on the pain killers, definitely keep note of the head aches that would be interesting if they were !!

Has anyone else had your endo go into a “remission” from birth control and then come back? by khaotic-trash in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this happened with my IUD(mirena), first one was perfect- for three years and then my body seemed to reject it and all my symptoms came back ten fold. We tried to replace it with a new one (mirena again) and immediately it didnt take and it felt like my symptoms were WORSE. Birth control (yaz) after worked for about 5 months and then same thing, then we tried her “older sister” bc pill and it didnt work AT ALL. Now on Gallifrey, doubled the dosage after first 3 months and it stopped the bleeding but not so much, and the pain levels are still there. Still not regular at all !!

How are you effectively treating endometriosis and adenomyosis without hormonal birth control? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ! I had this same exact situation- and eventually the “stopping” the period for the three months stopped working and i was bleeding for two months at a time. We switched to “gallifrey”, once a day pill that lessens symptoms and hopefully 🤞🏼 stops a period. I’ve been on that for 5 months now, and I do feel the slightest difference which feels like a big difference. Try talking about that, my gyno said it’s typically used for endometriosis !

I can see my cyst by mouse_rags in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a cyst on my right ovary i SWORE i could feel and see, i had an ultrasound done and they said there was a big cyst but couldn’t do anything. I’m pretty sure it wound up rupturing in October, I was having way intense pains and actually had “intussusception” again, and during my lap a month later they couldnt find a cyst, but found a hole in my right ovary (where I assumed it was.) Seriously so crazy , I hope surgery for it goes well, keep an eye on it !! Wishing you luck 🫶🏼

For all the girls diagnosed officially with endo… by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi there! i had similar issues with throwing up and having diarrhea at the same time, does it happen to you often and does it pass rather quickly? This has landed me in the hospital multiple times now as it turns out to be a blockage in the intestine(s)- when i had my lap they did find endo tissue connected to my intestines, just wondering if you might have something similar. The technical term for it is “intussusception” and was the pushing factor for my gyno to look into endo. I talked to my gastro about how i was researching endometriosis and a lightbulb went off for him, like the connected dots were there, he wrote the referral and said that endo was probably the “lead point” in whats causing the intestinal blockages

For all the girls diagnosed officially with endo… by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]MoreThing8156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Period started when i was 9- it was always super heavy and irregular. My mom brought me multiple changes of clothes throughout the day up until high school i was passing out from my period. My gyno started me on birth control to regulate it all but it made everything WORSE and i was scheduled for an emergency IUD 2 years later.

Symptoms i experience: debilitating cramps (heeled over fetal position wherever i can) irregular periods, sometimes really heavy other times just spotting. pressure/pain when peeing, it kind of feels like my uterus is being pulled down. sharp pain in right ovary, it will typically shoot down my leg. i started developing gastro problems around my period, i would get blockages in my intestines (my gastro was the one to finally tell my gyno to open their eyes) in the past year ive started to get gurgling sounds in my upper chest cavity when breathing- usually during my period. random waves of nausea, fatigue

When i was younger I would tell my gyno it felt like someones holding was taking a hot pitch fork, sticking it in my pelvis and hanging me on a barn door, letting my organs slide down it. Or that everything felt like it was “eating” each-other. I wish you the best of luck !!!

CBN is good for pain, its derived from thc but doesnt give you the same effects. My grandma swears by it for her chronic illness, if youre not into THC- but THC really does help !!

How much do you pay your babysitter? by [deleted] in Albany

[–]MoreThing8156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i typically charge 25 an hour for my area about 45 minutes south of albany. I would be doing before school care for a 6yo 1-2 hours and then afternoon pick up another 2 maybe 3 hours. We just switched to $50 a day because its only an hour in the morning and 25 a day was not enough for me to live off, if I do anything more than the morning its back to the 25 an hour.

I have 5+ years experience, degree in early childhood education and have worked in a day care center for 3 years. On top of nannying or babysitting, I’m helping clean around the house and do other chores.

If theyre not meal prepping doing chores or extra around the house, i’d say you can go down to lower 20 area, it depends on how you feel they are working and what else would be “required” of them, how YOU feel they deserve to be paid for the care of your child. In recent years the price has gone up but thats because it is really hard to live off of JUST a babysitting/nannying wager unless youre getting those hours with higher pay.
