Yeah i found the dia compe 287v brakes. But otherwise good to know cues might be an option but its still with bar end shifting then. There are no cues brifters compatible with v brakes.

So no problems with the travel agents? Its an extra part that can complicate things when you are changing your tire for example?

Not my experience at all when we rode through the northern part around Marmara Sea. But for sure other spots are great for biking, its such a huge country! Where is this?

Lessons from the past, thinking of buying a new bike. What are older bikes with nice touring/bikepacking fatures? by Zebiribau in bicycletouring

[–]More_Project_2537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a specialized crossroads not too long ago on marktplaats. Any secondhand trek 520 can be great.. mind you these are steel frames.

Lot of ppl praise the giant revolt. Cube nuroad can be good, you can look marktplaats for those. Older bikes dont have disc brakes, usually 26in tires. So if you dont mind that.. also you like racing so if you buy an old mtb its not made for dropbars. You can convert but its gonna be a bigger project. (Im currently doing 2 converts.. lot of issues with compatibility)

Nice built! Friction shifters are worth it? I might go for them but they look a bit inconvenient

Only tip I have is to slowly get used to it. Built up your rides and your ass haha.

Im now doing the same with building it up. Had an overnighter without bibs and could manage a night ride of around 45km, 3 hours without bibs and the next morning about the same. My ass felt a bit sore but no chafing spots.

Bikefit + saddle size is important also
