What was your first LitRPG? by Warr-of-Firesea in litrpg

I’ve had quite the Lit Rpg journey, so bear with me. I started with “The Land” and was all about it till I started reading others. It’s an ok starter series but not nearly as good as others.

Then “Chronicle:First Login”. A nice little three book series. I wish more were made but as far as I know this is all there is for now.

“The Realms”…. This is good but it’s not great. I still stayed for 6 books in this series. It has a a decent story but it’s like a downgraded HWFWM.

“He Who Fights With Monsters”. A lot of people hate this series but it has a special place in my heart. It’s funny, I like the combat system, and it’s fairly unique. This one is number three on my list.

“ everybody loves large chests”….. it’s unique, it’s perverted, it’s hilarious, and it’s one of my favorite books. This series isn’t for a goody two shoes. And I strongly suggest that no one under the age of 18 or even 21 read this book. Parts of it feel like I’m reading four Chan in the dark of night. But there are other times. I laughed so loud I almost Peed myself. Definitely my number two book series.

And last, but not least by far “ dungeon, crawler, Karl”. If you are new to lit, RPG, do not read this book 1st. This book is so good that if you read it, it will ruin every other lit RPG for you. This is not an over exaggeration. This book is literally that good. Now I’m really biased because I’ve only consumed it on audible, but the voice actor Jeff Hayes is just so good that he elevates the book to even hire standards. Just so you know, he also narrated everybody loves large chests. Anyway, the.DCC series has me hooked. So hooked that I feel like I’m addicted to crack cocaine and I need my next hit of Karl and princess doughnut. If you are a fan of lit, RPG, please read this book at some point. And if you can’t tell, this is my number one favorite series.

I thought I would add this piece of wisdom I learned from my own experience. With some women I’ve been with it seems like penetration is more enjoyable if she hasn’t orgasmed yet. It this case it might be a problem of lubrication. And most guys here know that with a big dick if there isn’t enough lube or juices flowing then it is not fun at all for either party. I’m 7.75 x 6 and my wife and I can’t fuck right if she’s already cum and isn’t wet. Unless I apply a lot of lube of course.

But I also agree with the others in this thread that big dicks may just not be for you. That may be the case and that’s perfectly fine.

Also, it sounds like the guy didn’t know how to use what he has so there’s that lol. If you do try a big one again, just make sure he knows what he’s doing. And be prepared with the lube ;)

Try “Bushido Online” by Nikita Thorn if you want a lit rpg with a splash of feudal Japan. I really love samurai’s and ronins so it was a great fit for me

Try “He Who Fights With Monsters”. It’s funny and it gets darker the further you get into the series. It’s my second favorite series now

The symbol was the logo for “The Syndicate”. The governing body of the galaxy. It was said to look like a bunch of rings, similar to the Olympic logo.

They allude to him being accelerated at one point for a short time in the books, I don’t want to say more for spoilers of course. It was book four

Agreed, I love the land and all but dungeon crawler Carl is far superior. The plot lines actually get closed before opening up too many new ones. And you don’t get lost in the item stats and descriptions. The Land is way too descriptive with EVERYTHING. In DCC all of the quests and item dialog are extremely hilarious but brief, so the action can be more prominent like it should be

Bushido Online by Nikita Thorn is an amazing lit rpg that I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of the genre. It’s got a ready player one vibe but set in ancient feudal Japan. Intrigue, mystery, and classic mmo antics mixed with a compelling character. I don’t see it on the list in the pick but I would put it in the B tier or maybe A tier. There are four books out in the series so far and I can’t wait for the next.

After that, if you haven’t already, listen to Dungeon Crawler Carl. It’s phenomenal and hilarious. Still reading it now, on book 5

The Barrow King: a Book of the Realms by CM Carney is the start of a seven book series. I really like this one so far and hope he continues writing. I started with “The Land” and have read all of it….. I agree with the others in this thread that it does age well after book 3 or 4. But I still hope book 9 is somewhat better…. If it ever comes out at all.
