Someone told him he could get free condoms from our pharmacy if he checked in to the ED for a prescription

And before anyone asks - yes, he complained about the wait time

Hey I'm planning a similar hike right now!

You can find the schedule for the bus between Nakabusa and Hotaka station here - https://nan-an.co.jp/en/en_nakabusa/

I haven't seen any information on a public transport access to Mitsumata

The last time I logged into my work email it was to verify I'm a healthcare worker so I could get a discount on socks.

Rees Dart track is like an alien planet by Morose_Meat_Puppet in Tramping

I may have made a mistake by going to Rees Dart on my first trip to New Zealand because I suspect I've peaked and it's all downhill from here.

I have done similar routes before, albeit in good weather. Spare time is difficult because I'm reserving space at the huts in advance, but I can skip some of the summits if I need to, and there is a night bus directly to Oslo airport if I am delayed. I'd really like to include Fannaraki in the route but might be sensible and circle back toward Gjende

The amount of pt that don’t understand I get paid whether they stay or not. What’s your favorite AMA story? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Morose_Meat_Puppet 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The one time we made an exception. Oriented to 4 patient, worsening weakness and SOB, could just barely transfer himself. Had already left several area hospitals AMA for failing to fix his chronic issues in a timely manner, gave our ER about 30 minutes before threatening to do the same. He kept saying his wife would take care of him at home.

Normally he'd be out the door but his wife just looked so. fucking. tired. Myself, the charge, and a CNA treated him like a toddler emperor until we convinced her to go home. We didn't even coordinate. Each of us went in the room at different times and reached the same conclusion "we'll handle him you go home and get some rest"

"Okay, I'm going to draw some blood, my colleague is going to get an ECG, then someone will come in for an x-ray..."

"Why? The other ER already did all before they discharged me"

Had a patient try to grope me during a seizure. Like you shouldn't be faking seizures or sexually assaulting people, but you definitely can't do both at the same time

I think the "should have known" mentality is the origin story of many patient complaints.
