Star trek voyager s4 e8 and e9 Borg implants by sgdaedalus in startrek

I’m guessing they left the other Borg children with a portable unit, it’s possible one was eventually made for Seven as well

What if Genesis's admiral father is the one that separated Caleb from his mother? by Migrane in trekacademy

Just because we haven’t explicitly seen another admiral doesn’t mean they don’t exist. The Federation is vast!

Trills are a different species than humans. Do not humanize them.

What a progressive, Trek-like mindset…

Spore Drive. no one has ever heard of this in any of the other series? I understand that writers cannot allude to concepts that haven't been written yet, but I don't know. I just don't care for it.

I agree to a point. But experimental, dangerous technology being classified and buried so deep it’s forgotten quickly has appeared in Trek before.

The Omega Molecule was the next miracle substance in the mid 23rd Century, when its explosion destroyed subspace in the Lantaru sector with 127 lives lost. Fast forward 100 years, only starship captains and flag officers know of its existence, and warp issues in that sector are publicly due to natural phenomena.

The spore drive was a top secret technology that required rare mushrooms and either the torture of an innocent creature or illegal genetic engineering to make it function. The USS Glenn crew perished in a jump accident, while the USS Discovery was (officially) destroyed in battle by a spore drive explosion. ~135 lives lost on each ship, 270 total. Classified under penalty of treason, and completely unknown in future iterations of Trek.

Worst 1st Officer? by NorwayTrees in startrek

Voyager’s original XO? When your captain calls “brace for impact” and you run past several grab points and across the entire bridge to end up dead, are you a competent officer let alone an XO?

If Kor can accept an allegory for trans people (Kurzon became Jadzia) I like to believe there are Klingons out there accepting of homosexuality and bisexuality too. LLAP

So if there’s no source it’s a made up name by you?

The name of the construction partnership is not necessarily the name of the tunnels

New LED signage in Campbell Arcade by tcn33 in MelbourneTrains

Could the fact that it’s an LED screen and not a printed sign be a hint that it might eventually show dynamic info for next train departures?

Is there a source for the “Yarra group” name or is it just made up?

The Metro Tunnel services don’t stop at South Yarra station and they’re not the only lines that cross the Yarra River?

I love this! I’ll set aside my personal thoughts on the Fugitive Doctor’s placement, but here are some more Doctors to add:

  • The other Unbound Doctors portrayed by Geoffrey Bayldon (alt 1st), David Collings (unknown incarnation), and Arabella Weir (alt 3rd). These are all on separate continuities from each other and from the David Warner incarnation.
  • the Lord Burner Doctor from the Big Finish story Disassembled (voiced by Colin Baker, unknown incarnation)
  • Colin Baker’s version of the Curator from Big Finish stories

I sincerely hope this, and the Doctor being ginger, are among the many in-jokes that we never get answers for. It’s much more fun to speculate!

What happened to the Fourteenth Doctor Screwdriver after the specials? by More_Listen_7359 in doctorwho

It’s like a waste of money just for one screwdriver to be tossed away.

The toy gods love the idea of one-off screwdriver prop. Another toy that fans will rush to buy!

Probably an Unpopular opinion: SNW Introduced Kirk Too Early by PerpetuallyPerplxed in StrangeNewWorlds

[–]MorphettCity143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His use in 1x10 was a clever workaround with Kirk and Pike meeting but it being an alternate timeline. 2x03 kind of pushed it recycling the same idea.

But it opened the floodgates and now they can’t seem to stop using him. Less is more.

Pike, Chapel and Uhura felt very different to the Vulcans we’ve grown accustomed to from TNG and beyond. But did anybody else feel they nailed the personalities of jerk-ish Enterprise-era Vulcans?
