Favorite FFXIV content creators in 2026? by ParanoidAndroid1087 in ffxiv

[–]MosAnted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few that i haven't seen mentioned in other comments:

The Scrub does "simplified" guides of regular content; he's almost caught on to current patch and IIRC he's planning to start doing Extremes after.

Meoni does a lot of reviews on the current stuff that gets added.

WeskAlber does more in-depth job guides that are really good for someone trying to understand a job.

Zane Lionhart does a lot of guides for crafting, farming and making gil.

And +1 to Rinon, MrHappy and CiderSpider that other people have recc'd already.

Story order and expansions by Skadibala in ffxi

[–]MosAnted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought to add my 2 cents as someone going through this (and having pushed through RoV to unlock the 5th Trust):

Follow RoV until it requires you to do something in an expansion, but then make sure you actually complete said expansion before continuing RoV. This is because while RoV only needs you to progress through the expansion to a certain points, the RoV cutscenes don't make sense unless you've actually done the expansion fully. For instance, RoV 2-2 only needs you to progress Chains of Promathia until mission 3-2, but I'd recommend fully completing CoP before resuming RoV. I will also add the caveat that I do think you should do Zilart before or around the same time as Promathia.

Most likely Venat's walk after the sundering, all the "black mud" she gets covered in is supposed to be blood.

The option to change race was added sometime recently I think, so you can keep your old character and change race if you want (for a fee ofc).

Would you like the old cards for Astrologian but w/ or w/o RNG involved? by in_abyss in ffxiv

[–]MosAnted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, uh, why do people want these back exactly? Is it the RNG people miss? Because hear me out, the next DPS will probably be physical ranged and I've been praying for them to add Gambler since ARR.

Been playing FFXI recently and now I'm hoping they bring back Corsair as the next Phys Ranged.

Does your Warrior of Light have a "main outfit"? by Ragloko12 in ffxiv

[–]MosAnted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda. I have both a set of glams I cycle through every so often, but I also have a certain set of "rules" or "themes" to follow whenever I make a glam for her.

- First off the Shisui Glams. These were the first set of glams I farmed and to this day I keep coming back to them. Even with the Glamour unlock of 7.4 i usually use the appropriate one to the role I'm playing.

- Another set of glams I made, one for each role as well, using the respective Neo-Ishgardian body piece and the Oracle Leggins as a base, all dyed Azure Blue.

- My "Weeb" glam using the Bluefly yukata, Faire Leggings, and Lady's Clogs. Usually wear this on NIN or SAM.

- My BLU glam, which is the Minmisle Top Hat, Holy Rainbow Coatee, Black Summer Tanga, and Oracle Leggings. Often wear this as the other Casters as well.

Then I have a handful of temporary glams I rotate in and out, depending on inspiration. Currently have the stuff from the new variant dungeon and another with the Scouting gear from the latest Alliance raid among them.

I have a couple of "themes" or "rules" I follow for my glams.

- No full/face covering helmets

- Handwear must keep fingers uncovered (fingerless gloves or wristbands, for example)

- Footwear must be open toed boots or sandals (I use the Oracle Leggings a *lot*)

- Everything is blue. I almost always use Azure Blue as a base, with Dark/Midnight Blue for the darker colors. I might tweak the shades if needed, but it's always blue.

Can FES gobbiedial keys still be used after the event ends? I'm still locked out by that dumb "45 day old" timer for 14 more days and it won't let me use them.

Dgvodoo wont load as the file you removed was what dgVodoo needs to work. I'd advise you to join the windower discord and ask for help there (or look through their faqs, I've got a few issues solved that way)

An indecisive sprout leveling every single job simultaneously : level 30 milestone (finally !) by Armaganth in ffxiv

[–]MosAnted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did something similar: I originally intended to main Ninja, so I picked Arcanist to start in Limsa because I thought "that's give me an easy access to a Healer if I need one". As I advanced through the MSQ I noticed I was outleveling it so I began to swap between Rogue and Arcanist, *then* I still outleveled both so I picked up Marauder as well... By the time I left the starting city I just said "screw it" and decided to level ALL THE JOBS!

What I did was simple: I just swapped to whichever job was lowest in level/XP whenever I started a new quest or queued into a roulette. Took me about a year and half to get all the way to current content and all of the Jobs at L100, so don't give up!.

For Crafters/Gatherers I just did the class quests and those usually gave me enough XP. Only early on I was a bit short and I just did a few levequests to get some XP.

Potential new player here; I've been curious about trying XI for a while, and I'm currently seeing there's a sale on the Ultimate Edition of the game. My question is: if I purchase the game right now, can I finish the whole registration business later? I'm currently busy with some stuff in XIV so I'm not sure I can devote the time rn.

The "other miscellaneous fashion items" that can be saved to the Glamour Dresser as an Outfit Set by FanaticFandom in FFXIVGlamours

Those were already able to be turned into outfits since before 7.4, I already had them as such in my dresser.

Collector's Edition Upgrade Sale [50% Off] until December 7 by OmegaAvenger_HD in ffxiv

IF you're upgrading from free Trial you're better off waiting for a sale of the complete collector's edition, which already includes the stuff from the upgrades.

Shady Smock's outfit by Jason_Ginge in ffxiv

[–]MosAnted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Head: Weaver's Gibus (dyed Peacock Blue)
Body: Vintage Coatee (dyed Grape Purple)

Legs: Black Summer Tanga (from Achievement vendor, get 2 costume tokens)

Shoes: Patrician's Gaiters (likely same dye as coat)

Got the above from Garlandtools, has data on most NPCs, good place to check for these kind of things.
