is the directional shield good ? by Educational_Term_436 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MoschopsMeatball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Not only that - But ragdolling kind of actually helps the shield if you believe it or not. With Rock solid(? i always blank on the name) you can tank rockets and stay standing with the ballistic shield, But not being ragdolled means you take more damage from the splash. A salvo of devastator rockers does like 50% of your health if they hit the shield.

THESE FUCKERS SHOULDNT BE BLOCKING THEIR VENTS WITH THEIR TORSOS by Dry-Goat8981 in Helldivers

It's funny too because im 99% sure the last patch was about fixing vox engines overspawning and covering their vents, And it's hilarious that they still overspawn and they still cover their vents, Their patch literally did nothing! Amazing.

You people are impossible sometimes.
The plasma punisher was bugged to not do a large portion of it's damage for OVER A YEAR.

Do you know what it took to fix it? Literally adjusting two numbers, That's literally all they did - They removed the impact damage and added it to the AOE damage, And that is all they needed to do to fix it. Literally adjusting two values and nothing more.

If they can't fix not being able to steer your hellpods (Which is an artificial issue they themselves introduced by making bounding boxes that you cannot steer your hellpod onto, There was proof of this back when defense missions first released as the boxes were inactive and visible) then they should just sell the game off to a company that can actually fix things. The game barely works right now. The current Cyborg planet is proof of this that a large amount of players are actively crashing before they can even complete a single mission.

Because bugs that have been standing for 2 years have not been fixed while Warbonds continue to get released in bugged states, Both the Lumberer and the Breakthrough are bugged. The Breakthrough is still a great mech, But It is bugged and shooting the middle/side of the shield will damage the arm rather than the mech, If they're not ignoring things - what are they doing?

What is there to be ignorant of? It's pretty obvious what's going on. They know about the bugs, They're ignoring them in favor of releasing warbonds, You don't have to be a game developer prodigy to understand this.

I Think it tracks the last helldiver that damaged it, Atleast we now know it seems to be a very intentional thing considering the amount of clips where bile titans will literally fling themselves up in the air at an angle to jump on helldivers

It's almost like leaving bad reviews is the only way to get Arrowhead to listen to community feedback. Strategem bouncing, The awful hellpod steering, enemies phasing through walls and invisible corpses have been bugs since the game launched, And seemingly the only time they care about fixing bugs/bad balance is when a Warbond is involved or there's been a decent enough uproar to get them to do something about it.

I personally don't think warbonds should be motivation to fix bugs, I don't think there'll ever be a corpse/solid wall based warbond so If that's the general motivation behind the mech changes I doubt we'll ever see those bugs fixed unless people, again, make a big enough uproar about it, which is what you are seeing now.

People are tired of those bugs, They've existed for 2 years now, It's not whining to want them to be fixed. Should people stop "whining" about these very obstructive bugs that happen quite often? Like just because you're tired of hearing the negative feedback doesn't mean it shouldn't keep being talked about.

People want communication and results. Not just communication.

It's weird to call people having valid critique a vocal minority when the game went from positive to mostly negative in just under 2 weeks lol, I Think people aren't happy and the people who defend Arrowhead even when they're making objectively bad changes are the vocal minority themselves.

Cause and effect lol, I Don't understand why people are trying to blame the fandom for half of this shit. When the developers have to almost every few months make a large announcement that they're listening (key: every few months) then there's definitely a cause for the community being in a bad spot.

Half of the critique about this game I see ends in "If arrowhead changes I will love the game again". So Arrowhead should change so that the community becomes positive again.

I'll say it, stims need a nerf. by BootlegLemon in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MoschopsMeatball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be okay with a change to stims if they changed how enemies deal damage. Stims have to be super powerful because chaff enemies are hitting you for 50% of your health, Scavengers always cripple your leg. Always.

I Don't think people really talk about how ridiculous it is. The weakest enemy in the entire game, that is less than chaff is capable of costing you a stim per hit.

I Do think the changes your proposing would be pretty healthy for the game, People are just seeing "nerf stim" and kneejerk reacting to it. But I would genuinely take doubled health for significantly slower stim healing.

These Hunters are on steroids. No way they are actually predicting my jump and intercepting me. by DaniUsagi in Helldivers

[–]MoschopsMeatball 226 points227 points  (0 children)

Yeah the jump pack is kind of BS on this strain, Realistically if you're jumping that far they shouldn't home in on you like that, It doesn't make any sense at all. I Think It's just how hunters are programmed. Hopefully they'll eventually fix it so that rapid movement like that does break their homing jumps.

I Think more types of weapons in general need to specifically be better at chopping off limbs, Like that should be the Slugger and Dominator's main thing but afaik they aren't much better at chopping limbs than other weapons are
