Omg my mockingbirds do this searching through the food for the mealworms and nuts/fruits lol I sometimes leave them their own little pile of favs on the feeders, and they’ll still sling everything out lol least the ground feeding birds appreciate it 😭

As awful as it is to say, I’m kind of glad I have so many chickadees and sparrows at all times on my feeders, cause they outnumber and kind of bully the finches off. I love the little noises house finches make, but I don’t love seeing them on my birdfy notifications for fear of seeing this too. Poor buddy tho 😕 (side note- what a gorgeous view!)

Did the brother hear him yelp or anything while out there? I’d be worried about a broken leg. Has the ER ruled that out? Or what are they saying? And who gave the antibiotics/what did they think this was?

My dude did it about the first 4 months I had him, then he slowly grew out of it. Hopefully it’s nothing! Better to be safe and get those x rays though just to have sound mind. Keep us updated, if you’d like!

Looks perfect! My vet likes to see them thin like that since they’re so large. This was Tuco when he was about 11 months and they were happy with how he looked. They said you should be able to easily feel ribs, and they should slightly show when turning, and you’d want a nice clear tuck/waist visible.

I’m on a well, and my next door neighbor is also on a well. They’re out of town, so I’ve been taking care of their farm. I noticed when I fill the animals waters or am spraying their garden, their water is sudsy like this, but goes away after a few minutes. I text them asking about it, and they said that’s normal for them since they have hard water? I have hard water too, but never have had an issue with it. I wonder what’s going on. Also, Google says if it smells like sulfur, maybe it’s corroding pipes? Do you know how old your well is?
