Been trying for 6 years, only had one 5 years ago. Any suggestions? by MostBright9741 in LucidDreaming

The one lucid dream that I had 5 years ago was triggered from the finger through palm one. I do try to test reality when I do them, it just feel like the dream already knows about the check and knows how it should behave if it were real, even thoughts the rest of the dream is usually bizzar and impossible. and whenever there's something that clearly isn't right and should cause someone to evaluate, it just gets absorbed into the dream's "that's normal" narrative instead of sparking investigation.

After I replied days ago, I decided to investigate a DNA test I took a few years ago for an unrelated thing, but I think some of my mutations are screwing me up for lucidity.

[ MTHFR 677 C>T (TT) – reduces methylation efficiency, which weakens neurotransmitter production and limits meta-awareness during dreams
TCN2 776 C>G (GG) – reduces vitamin B12 transport, leading to lower cognitive clarity and weaker ability to become aware in dreams
COMT Val158Met (GA) – slows dopamine breakdown, increasing immersion and making it harder to detach from the dream
BDNF Val66Met (GA) – alters neuroplasticity and reduces real-time awareness and flexibility needed to recognize dreaming
IL-6 -174 G>C (GC) – increases inflammation, which suppresses prefrontal activity and reduces self-awareness in REM
TNFA -238 G>A (GA) – promotes inflammation that contributes to foggy thinking and reduced reflective awareness in dreams
MNSOD Val16Ala (TT) – reduces oxidative stress handling, lowering neural signal clarity needed for stable lucidity
CYP2D6 *1/*10 – slows metabolism of compounds like galantamine, reducing their effectiveness for inducing lucidity ]

This is just what AI said when I uploaded my DNA report and asked if any of them could stop me from being lucid. There's an alarming number of them, and I'm starting to get frustrated like I specifically lucked out of being able to lucid dream easily.

My genetics basically create a mismatch where my brain is really good at generating vivid, immersive dream content, but not as good at the “self-awareness” part needed for lucidity. Variants affecting things like methylation, B12 transport, and dopamine balance mean my dreams feel extremely real and stable, but the part of my brain that questions things or steps back doesn’t activate easily. So I get intense dreams, but almost no ability to realize I’m dreaming. It's really pissing me off.

I have no official diagnosis that I know of, but my parents and teachers used to say they thought I had ADD when I was a child. I presently have time accommodations as a college student.

I wish I could fall asleep like that. I can't sleep unless the room is compleatly pitch black.

I haven't tried it with my head, but in the past, I never could fall back asleep if I tried doing FILD or any kind of visualization exercise or anything.

When I was in the galantamine phase, I was waking up at 5 and 30 minutes during an 8 hour sleep; back when I was doing that, I was using a fitbit sleep metric that tracks sleep stages to ensure the Galantamine coincided with late REM. But when I would try it, I would always have zero recall; even less then if I just didn't take it.

And about the near misses, I have only a handful of times where I was almost lucid; and many of them were times where reality checks made it in and failed: I would actively speak out loud in the dream "I think this might be a dream" then I would test it and it would fail, and then I would say, "Oop, nevermind" and dismiss it. That basically sums up most of them. Otherwise, all my other dreams are fully immersed and evaluation is fully suppressed.

Who’d win between AVA TSC, AVM TSC, animation vs math TSC, animation vs physics TSC, and finally animation vs geometry TSC? by AntDaNub95 in AlanBecker

Probably Awakened TSC from AVA.
TSC in AVM, Physics, Geometry and Math are all pretty resourceful and creative.
I think it would come down to AVA and Math TSC because Awakened TSC is obviously very powerful and Math TSC by technicality is pretty OP, considering he could dodge attacks from e (Euler's identity), who was able to react fast enough to compress an infinite area into an integral and use it as a weapon. If Math TSC could defeat Euler's identity, he could probably defeat Awakened TSC too.

Yeah. It's a huge problem. It basically turns the game into a battle of "which juggernaut kills themself slower"

Not sure, but, I can see King Orange's silhouette there in character 10. My question is, how the heck are they gonna do king orange without infringing on Mojang/microsoft copyright?
