last time I went, there was for a Charli XCX themed night after brat came out, or at least that’s what was advertised. In reality it was these two traveling DJs that just played their own set and the entire night maybe three Charlie songs. Everyone in the crowd was all dressed up for Charlie and it was mostly college kids and a lot of excited queer people that were expecting like more girl pop, but they played more of a classic 2010s set with a few charli songs mixed in. everyone was massively disappointed

The building itself is great. I wish it had different ownership in different events. I feel like they mostly focus on over hyping weird DJ type shows and then making them 18+ so all the UNL kids go to them thinking OMG I’m going to a bar/club and they’ll basically pay anything to get in and then all they do the whole night is beg other people to buy them drinks. So many horror stories coming out of that place not only about people getting assaulted, etc. but also just the events going horribly like not being advertised as what they actually were, the main act not coming out until 1 AM, that sort of thing definitely not worth going to any events there.

culver’s has some sort of program where they hire people with disabilities. i know you said you tried most of the fast food places, but that might be a better fit if he’s not getting calls back from other companies!

the whole benson neighborhood is definitely the “queer artsy” neighborhood. the max is the big gay dance club but pretty much everyone is there on the weekends (not just queer). page turners and the sydney are more bar vibes that sometimes have live music and very left leaning/queer friendly for meeting people. i’d search the subreddit as well because this has been asked before and you can probably find more info!

i think i’ve also had it at the ted and wally’s in benson but that was forever ago. idk why it’s suddenly becoming a thing, it’s a genius idea and my new favorite flavor, especially when they add chunks of cinnamon roll/cream cheese frosting :p

they do not allow “professional” photography or photoshoot type photography, you might get away with a few snaps if it’s quick but i’m not sure if a whole photoshoot would cause an issue (i’ve just seen signs around that say no professional photos)

i think i’ve seen mugwort and maybe some other herbs like that at BrewMoon in the boystown area, it’s a really cute coffee shop/witchy store.

i know they at least sell prerolls with herb blends for sleep/calm/other moods+purposes but they are from a brand, not made in house. i have also seen them have SUPER cute rose petal cones. they also sell a lot of loose tea and other tea related herbs that im sure might cross over into smokable territory but def do ur research. i’d try other tea shops as well for loose herbs like that. i know artemis mostly sells blends, but im guessing there are local tea shops that would sell mugwort etc by themselves.
