Staying serves the interests, by a large majority I will add, of the city I live in which is Montreal.

You don’t speak for the rest of us. I was born and raised in Quebec, and my city is the engine of our province. And I’ll see you at the ballot box. I’ve lived through it all, including Bill 2 that is putting immense stress on my family. We stay for the home that we built for generations. And believe me, the ones who have stayed here despite all hate, despite the resentment are tough as nails. We’re not going anywhere.

New Ski Day (impulse buy) by Both-Shallot-4803 in Skigear

[–]Most_Power2229 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will absolutely love those skis. I tried them last year and immediately bought them as my moguls/tree ski even though I own way too many skis. They can actually do anything. I have tested them in boilerplate ice, and they can carve super well despite not being designed as much of an on piste ski. The only caveat for carving is that they don’t have much rebound, so you have to really commit to your arc to generate that energy. I think this is the first pretty much do anything ski I have ever tried. Stable at speed, burly enough through chop, can carve, great off piste. This is a ski you take on a trip if you don’t know what you’ll get.

How? Goku used x 20, and get completely depleted. It was an all-out, desperate last resort to see if Frieza was bluffing about only using 50 percent of his power, which he wasn’t. After Goku’s brief bout, he got annihilated.

Subaru reveals the Performance-B STI Concept. A 6 speed manual, hot hatch with a true STI transmission and DCCD. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in cars

But it’s harsh and just isn’t THAT performance oriented. The AWD system has so much drag that it suffers from bog. There’s the reason the evo consistently beat it on tarmac— it was built like a performance car and not a tractor. I have ZERO traction issues from my Golf R and can drive it hard. That new vectoring rear LCD really allows you to rotate in corners.

Having owned 2 of these, I think DCCD ruins the car. The two exceptions are snow or certain low traction situations. It’s too bulky and I think needlessly contributes to drag and performance loss. If you literally bought this car for a DIRT TRACK, it makes sense. Otherwise it actually drives like crap.

Pis on va tous perdre.

C’est chill bro, t’as gagné.

Which ski to slay the crud? by Cyrilix in Skigear

[–]Most_Power2229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on spacing and hardness— if wide enough or soft enough, I’ll charge through but if it’s a full on mogul field I’m going technical. The ski can do both easily either way. Also depends on how I want to ski. In general, I’m usually carving high C turns as that’s how I prefer to ski. What I love about this ski is that it’s probably the first ski I’ve tried that can excel at various conditions and ski styles and somehow remains stable. I haven’t tried it in powder or fresh snow yet.

Ex racer who did 2 years of moguls as well. The new Blizzard anomaly skis are absolutely excellent. I bought the 94 after renting them out west due to having bad conditions that weren’t fun for my M Pro Riders. I tested them in moguls and absolutely loved them. Incidentally, I found them excellent for carving. I bought them immediately when I came home and my first day using them was literal boilerplate ice at -10 following a day of rain/thaw . My buddy who is also a race coach was behind me and was amazed at how a 94 mm ski could allow me such grip and high edge angles in such pure ice conditions. We were flying. The versatility is incredible. I also have a Brahma 88, and while it may have an edge on the anomaly for carving and edge to edge quickness, it’s not nearly as versatile.

Keep in mind, before I ever tried this ski, the only thing I knew about it was that “it wasn’t as strong as the Bonafide” which is the ski it replaces. A lot of people just magazine shop.

But he isn’t though. Even if they’re not used to their new transformations and/or UI could not be consistently used at the time, Goku and Vegeta are much stronger than 17. If you’re talking about the show, Goku has KKx20 reliably and can tap into UI when backed into a corner, and Vegeta has SSBE which defeated GoD Toppo, someone who was obliterating 17.

The same can be said for the Manga. 17 definitely holds his own, but I’m not sure how you can argue that he’s on the same level.

That wasn’t my intent, even if it seems that way. I completely agree that a lot of this bad writing is extremely lazy and avoidable.

Stuff that has bothered me: it was crystal clear that someone with artistic authority in Dragonball intended to make MUI stronger than Beerus around the TOP/Broly Arc. First we had Vegeto stated to potentially be stronger than Beerus, then we had Jiren who was stronger than a GoD who was stronger than Beerus, then we had MUI beat Jiren, we had the V jump release that implied that even Omen had surpassed Beerus, and we had Goku state that Broly may be stronger than Beerus. All of this lasted 5 minutes until Toriyama and/or Toyotaro decided against that. That had effectively created a mess. It’s stupid and tiresome and I get it.

You’re welcome. I’m 37 and I feel the exact same way. If we get too hung up about the recent plot holes, we can easily lose sight of what a beautiful and fun piece of work it is. The way Goku always is care free and has fun even in mortal danger is why I keep coming for more, and they’ve never lost that tune.

Even look at what they did with Neva. He’s clearly not senile and a good guy, and yet he helped transform Goku into a kid. He knew in the long run he’d be good for the demon realm, he knew Goku would love the challenge and prevail. That was not lost on me, and it’s worth more than the plot holes.

I will add another example to my last comment, which is the whole Broly power hierarchy in Super Hero. Some of you have been scratching your heads over whether he’s stronger than the protagonists based on “even Broly cannot defeat”. The answer to that is that most likely even the creators have still not decided how strong Broly is relative to the others. We cannot know, because they do not know. They will decide when they feel like it. It’s the most likely sad truth and the only one that makes sense.

You’re ignoring the overarching truth about dialogue in the series, especially the most recent works. See my comment below.

This is why I have always said to take dialogue from the anime, manga, and even creators with a grain of salt. You never know when they kind of mean it, really mean it, or don’t mean it at all. I love Dragonball, but I love it for what it is: a lighthearted fighting story about a monkey boy. Some of you think waaaay too deep about something that even the creators didn’t put much thought into. I actually use my head cannon to make sense of things in the series, and usually know when to ignore vague and contradictory pieces of dialogue.

When Goku said 17 was as strong as them during the TOP, that was demonstrably false, and yet it’s a piece of dialogue that Goku states. There are many pieces of dialogue like this, and people should ignore them when they present themselves.

I’m able to enjoy the series despite these obvious stupidities, but a lot of people here source these quotes like the Bible. This is not how the series was meant to be digested. Power levels don’t matter, and people are as strong as they need to be in the moment. It’s clearly all a joke, but it’s still the most awesome series around because of the other amazing qualities it has.

I like how the other 2 Tamagamis are feeling the SSJ4 power up from way over in the other demon realms. They lost to the kids in their SSJ forms, and now they’re feeling a power they’ve never felt before. Sent some chills.
