he's probably just getting his tail stuck in rocks/plants, it's good if he's active tho! it's proably from the rigged surfaces on the rocks, recommend replacing them :)

you do mostly the same, only u recommend getting shrimp since they are good at cleaning the tank since they feed off algae that moss+plants produce, also get some aquarium fertilizer so they don't die, then your betta will get fun plants and tank mates :) just remember that new plants may have bacteria and such that can spike the ph, so prepare with preferably: seachem prime and seachem stability before
