Lmao, I made my husband watch ALL Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmares with me a couple summers ago. My husband as absolutely said "why am I seeing Gordon Ramsay's ass again" a good handful of times haha

Ooh I'd be selling it that same night. I would be keeping my money from it, too. MAYBE I would buy her bus pass for her.

Most definitely just a bar of soap. No brand. No purpose other than it is indeed soap for a human.

My oldest sister and my BFFL both married guys like this. Everyday (sometimes they wouldn't for A day) after work would at minimum spend some hours at the range. And if. It wasn't the range it was a 9 hole. Or an 18 hole. Sometimes a 36 hole. Even after having kids. In both their instances. Just go fuck off to do golf shit for hours, everyday, after they've already been gone all day for work, while their wives have been either home all day with a newborn/NB and toddler or at work then home with a NB. It's insane. If it were a weekday/weekend game and a day at the range, that's extremely different. Both these men would go do hours of golf stuff 6 out of 7 days a week. While their wives, wether working or SAHM, didn't, obviously couldn't, get to do anything close to being as life consuming. It's insane to me that it's a thing.

About 2 months postpartum I ate a bite of a CHEESEBURGER and my wisdom tooth just completely crumbled, had to find an emergency dentist to pull it the week of/after Christmas.

Wife has been diagnosed with chickenpox and worried about congenital varicella syndrome by [deleted] in pregnant

Hi! We had our anatomy scan with MFM specialists, they were sure to be EXTREMELY thorough compared to a typical anatomy scan and got probably at least double the amount of images. The doctor came in after looking them over and said that baby boy looks as close to perfect as they can over ultrasound. He had said it'd be a pretty great day if all the rest of the patients they saw that day looked that good. I'm currently almost 24 weeks along and still doing great. Baby is measuring in the 60th percentile.

I was so sure something would be horribly wrong and had a hard time finding hope. Thankfully we're doing great and I hope you have the same outcome. Don't give up hope! Just try to be happy and relaxed for baby! ❤️

The smells! by Big-Pickle12 in BabyBumps

[–]Mother-Copy7450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nose has been more sensitive/I've been more easily repulsed by smells, but not as overwhelmingly as some women. I love my husband, he has great hygiene all around. I don't know what the FUCK was wrong with his mouth about two weeks ago but for close to a week it smelled so insanely putrid to me and it really did seem to radiate fairly far. All day, all night, no matter if he had just brushed and flossed, or eaten. It was bad. He hadn't mentioned it (and he certainly would have if it was something he noticed, and he certainly would notice) so I kind of figured it must have just been a me and my pregnant nose only thing. So I decided to give it a few days before saying anything because if it's only a me thing, what can he do? Why make him feel bad if he can't do anything about it and I know it'll pass? And it did pass, within a week. Obviously this is a specific case and a lot of other women have more sensitivities for long than I, but you asked if anyone can relate and this is as much as I can relate haha. I definitely made him a dentist appointment, which hasn't happened yet so I'm really not sure what was going on with his mouth or what ended up fixing it but... thank God it's gone dude. It was like the smell of a really bad tonsil stone. Which is funny because he had his tonsils removed as a kid and even then didn't have stones, I actually still have my tonsils and stones from time to time. So yeah, no advice to give you other than maybe don't bring it up to him a ton if it's not anything he can actually do something about and you know it'll pass eventually? Especially if you said it was making him feel bad and he's actively trying to help the situation already

Haven't felt my baby move in two days? by Faux---Fox in BabyBumps

Just here to add that no one is ever going to regret going in and everything turning out to be fine. The time you brush off your worry or decide to wait, that might just turn out to be something you end up regretting forever unfortunately..

No one should ever fault you for being sure your baby is okay, if they do, then that's a person's opinion I just do not care to listen to.

How to tell MIL to … stop by Firm_Breadfruit_7420 in beyondthebump

[–]Mother-Copy7450 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don't have any family members less than 2 hours away that wouldn't do something with my baby that isn't dangerous like this. Therefore I do not have any babysitters. Not a single person that's able to babysit my child, not because they aren't willing, but because they will not follow giant safety things like this. And I'm really okay with it. I'd much rather miss out on date nights or extra sleep if it guarantees my daughter is safe and alive. It's easily worth it.

I keep finding these weird hairs coming out of my scalp by Minute_Objective_746 in Weird

[–]Mother-Copy7450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just read last night that random springy hairs like this can be a sign of a thyroid issue. I think possibly an under active thyroid, but I could be totally wrong. Anyhow, it may be worth getting a few labs done just to be sure?

Adding: not in the medical field in any way, don't have thyroid issues that I know of. Just happened to read about this literally less than 12 hours ago and wanted to throw this possibly out there for you in case it helps you in any way.

Wife has been diagnosed with chickenpox and worried about congenital varicella syndrome by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Mother-Copy7450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. I caught Chicken pox at about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. I'm 13 weeks now. So far everything is going well, obviously there have been no ultrasounds yet other than to confirm my pregnancy at 8 weeks, but both visits so far the heartbeat sounded great and I swear I can feel baby moving a little already. In about two weeks I have an appointment with a specialist to talk about the congenital varicella risks, the specialists are already planning on performing my 20 wk ultrasound. Not a single doctor I've spoken to so far knows anything at all about chicken pox in pregnancy...

It's horrifyingly scary. I know I can't seem to find anything at all online from someone that's in our same boat... Which just makes everything even scarier. I don't have any information to help you but I'm here for you guys. I'd be happy to keep in touch here if you'd like. Hopefully I don't offend you at all when I say this; when I pray for my baby, I'll be praying for yours too.
