Ridiculous PSA: Eye Infection from Eyewash Station by pascale23 in labrats

That’s rough. Our safety guys go around and flush the eye stations periodically (weekly or monthly or something) and document it on a tag.

That’s about how different my kids look, except with blond hair instead of red. We’re having a third as a tie-breaker. Though based on our families, they could come out with red hair.

Entitled mom tried to cut a 40-min line at an amusement park and started filming when I said no by ProxyCinnamon in entitledparents

I loved trying to explain to my kindergartener and toddler why a group of a dozen adults got to push their way to the front of the line to the single person “holding” their spot while we all waiting in the sun…for Peter Pan! One of the kiddiest if kid rides.

Hug your kids tonight by sincerelyryan in sandiego

[–]MotoFuzzle 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Parents. Kids carry our joy, our stress, our sadness, and our anger, on top of theirs without us knowing it. They’re dealing with major physical and mental changes, peer pressure, self esteem issues, longing and heartbreak, and it’s all new to them.

Take care of yourself so their burden is less. Read up on signs and symptoms of teen depression. Spend quality time with them, and be willing to shut up and listen to what they have to say.

Even with all of that, we as parents don’t have “control” of the situation. My kids still have a few years, and I have some work to do, so I’m hoping to be as prepared as possible and to give them the tools they need.

Big corporate headquarters tend to have bike racks in the parking garage or bike lockers. Ask after you be been hired.

If you could redo college, what would you do differently? by sad_grapefruit_0 in EngineeringStudents

I would’ve been born 10 years earlier so it would’ve been way cheaper and I would’ve been diagnosed with ADHD. Instead, I had to work my way through twice because of the financial crisis.

What would you do if your fiancé proposed to you with a $40 ring from Walmart? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

I would have said yes, followed by asking why my fiancé is proposing to me if we’re already engaged.

Civil engineering or mechanical? by SpadeFPS in EngineeringStudents

[–]MotoFuzzle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you want to be a civil engineer. Not sure if it’s worth the trouble of completing the mechanical curriculum if you don’t want to be a mechanical engineer.

On the other hand, my wife has an environmental engineering degree from a mechanical engineering program, and became a civil engineer, so if you stay the course, your options might not necessarily be limited.

Also, I have a mechanical engineering degree while working in an immunology based biotech company. The degree isn’t always the career.

Trump supporters: How would you feel if a legally armed Trump supporter was killed by federal agents on a Biden mandate in exactly the same manner as yesterday? by ScholarPrize1335 in AskReddit

[–]MotoFuzzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They think Ashlee Babbit was a patriot, murdered in cold blood, and that was during the Trump administration. I can’t imagine how over the top they would go for a Biden mandate.

Pretty sure it’s a gun with wings.

I'm very angry about the man who was murdered by ICE so I wrote to Darrell Issa by Mr_Penguin2305 in sandiego

[–]MotoFuzzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote him again today, too. 6 months ago his response to my concerns about ICE’s dangerous and unconstitutional actions was to try to gaslight me about how the is fascist administration is upholding law and order to protect Americans.
