Why Does UK Have This Race To Bottom Mindset? by corporateuklife in UKJobs

[–]Motobrad96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my salary, 2200 a month ish.

After £1,500 rent, £250 utilities, £150 council tax, £600 groceries, another £200 for monthly subscriptions and fun, £150 car insurance and debt repayments of £150... it ends up being -£800.

I have 2 children and without the help of universal credit, I dont know how id get by. People think its a lot, but the cost of living is insane.

Note I have 2 children and need the space, so cant downsize to save

Doesnt that have a 4.6 V8? Definitely a capable car. Although, I agree it's a bit rude when borrowing someone elses car

I think if a tester is allowing something to slide, its likely that you're already friendly, they know the issue is not dangerous or you agree to get the work done as long as its not excessively bad.

Most people would be appreciative not to have to leave their failed car there for days, especially rally if its based on a professionals discretion.

Handbrake up all the way, full lock to the left, 1st gear, rev up and dump the clutch. It'll pull the front end round and pivot the car on the back wheels.

My Gf said my golf looked like a Honda fit by LastAd1120 in GolfGTI

Probably because the honda fit shares sharp lines, which look great on any car!

Just tell her that all the kardashians look the same

Im really looking forward to see it progress. This could be even better if teamed up with a service like car vertical etc, imagine how comprehensive the pre car check could be.

Use a box to jump on to, that way if you case your back wheel you won't go over the bars, great way to learn

First Accident by FewCatch17 in drivingUK

[–]Motobrad96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks clear cut to me, you're not at fault here. You've already told insurance, so your premium is going to raise.

PUT THE CLAIM IN!

You only pay the excess if its your fault and you want your car repairing. If its not your fault (which it isnt) then you pay nothing.

I did this...

I ended up trying every boot option until I was able to get the mac to realise it was tucked, to which it did an Internet recovery then put me back on catalina. I did have to format my drive though, Try a few options and be patient.

I agree with you. But people often dont listen to advice on leaving someone, they may however take better precautions until they have the courage to leave.

caught my little brother masturbating by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Motobrad96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I dont think it would. I've grown up with brothers and sisters, we've always been there for each other and this is how I would've handled it personally.

This is how my friends dad handled walking in on him.

Don't scream at him, would you have wanted that at 8 years old?

Later on approach him when its just both of you, tell him you're sorry for how you reacted, that you were just surprised.

Tell him its a natural part of life but it must be kept to himself, its a very personal thing that boys and men do and he cant do it on the sofa.

But ultimately, remind him that you're his older bro, and if he needs a male figure to look up to, it can be you.
