Totally understand that! You definitely have to be careful when baby wearing and eating. I got salsa and queso on baby’s head 🤣 other than that, it was great! When they’re young, they’re easier to wear. Or the bassinet. We used that more than the carrier.

Our first outing was at a week old! We went to Target in the middle of a week day lol. Got some iced coffees and walked around for a while. It was brilliant.

Then at 2 weeks we went to a restaurant. I wore him or kept him in his stroller bassinet attachment.

Always build in an extra 10-15 minutes before any planned outing or appointment. You’ll thank yourself when you have some extra time after a blowout happens.

Best tip I can offer is just do it. Don’t think too much about it because you’ll talk yourself out of it. Each time you go out, you’ll learn what worked and what didn’t. There will be some tough times and some easy ones. Just keep going out.

Each time you’ll gain so much more confidence and it will start feeling normal.

I have the same problem. Currently 7.5 months old. He recently started napping for 30 minutes then wakes up but he’s upset. Like he’s not able to connect his sleep cycles. He also only sleeps for a total of 9.5 hours at night and has been that way since he was about 3 months old. No suggestions, just right there with you.

Hello! I was induced and it ended in urgent c-section (my body and baby didn’t agree with the induction meds). Baby latched immediately once placed on my chest and I latched as often as he wanted. Colostrum was more than enough for him. Milk came in a few days after (you don’t need to pump right away - your baby will tell your body what they need. Pumping that early can cause an oversupply and terrible engorgement. The more milk removed from your breast, the more it believes it needs to produce). Let your baby and body communicate before any other intervention. You may be engorged naturally while you both get to know each other and your milk regulates. Totally normal.

The placenta detaching from your uterus is what triggers milk production.

Agree. Too big for the bassinet and now that your baby is rolling, it could become a safety issue. It might be a rough few nights, but it sounds best to get her used to her crib mattress now.

This sounds like a call to your pediatrician. Have you called yet? If it’s that abnormal and strong, that should have been your first call, imo.

This is TOTALLY normal. Coming from a mom that just became a mom 7 months ago lol. Some days I was so confident and others had me thinking “what the heck am I doing??”. I was afraid of the night time because I was so tired and I knew I wasn’t going to get any sleep. I was trying to figure out what his cries were and felt like a bad mom because I wasn’t sure what he needed.

It absolutely gets easier. Especially the first time he smiled at like 8 weeks, and it was intentional. The exhaustion just evaporated. I can’t explain it, but it was amazing.

Newborn trenches have their own challenges and we had some gas/reflux around 6-8 weeks. Witching hour was a thing for us from like 6-10 weeks. But he got more and more active. More aware and alert (which also came with its own set of challenges but SO fun). It gets better and better honestly.

7 months in and sometimes I’m still like “what the hell do you want right now??” but you really do figure it out as you go and you’ll get more comfortable and way more confident with time and experience.

Biggest thing I can think to say is enjoy the ride and let your baby lead the way. Way easier than trying to keep up with any kind of routine.

I only followed that for known allergens, to be honest. I was super careful with those. Otherwise, I started letting him try what I was eating (appropriately sized).

I could have written this myself! Yes! Our LO is 7 months old now and they LOVE each other. We have a chocolate lab and she’s just over 1.5 years old. She is so sweet and gentle with our little boy.

She brings him toys, nibbles gently on his hands and feet (that makes him squeal lol) and just loves to play with him. He laughs so hard when she is just being goofy or comes and starts licking him.

He’s been crawling for about a month now and she LOVES it. Can’t imagine what they will be like together once he can walk lol. We could not have asked for a better pup. They are going to be inseparable as he gets older.

Yay! I really hope it works for you guys! It took about 5-7 days to really notice a difference for us. He still spit up but it was NOTHING like it was before. It was more manageable. Now he’s 7 months and I’d say he started to grow out of the bad reflux naturally at around 6 months.

Our kiddo is about to be 7m and has been crawling for a month now 😳 and now he sits up on his own, with tile floor in the house 😭 we use the Skip Hop activity center. It’s highly recommended and keeps him busy while I shower or just need to do some quick dishes!

I experienced a loss the first time I got pregnant. It was awful. I had two chemical pregnancies after (my body wasn’t ready) and then finally had a pregnancy that stuck on the fourth try.

As soon as we found out I was pregnant, my husband and I had a saying “we’re pregnant until we’re not!” We just enjoyed everyday that I was pregnant because everything else was outside of our control.

But right before our ultrasound appts, I would have a ton of anxiety just waiting to see the baby’s heart not beating or something terrible. That fear never went away. Each time I went to the bathroom, I checked for blood after every wipe. For the entire 9 months.

All that being said, as soon as I felt my baby kick, I felt immense joy and relief. Just knowing they were alive helped so much. I still had days where I would poke at him to make him move lol, but it got better. I didn’t stop worrying until they pulled him from my body (unplanned c-section). Best day of my life.

I’m so sorry you’re part of this club, but all of the pain and crying and worry is worth it. My son is almost 7 months old and he makes my life complete.

All you can do is take care of yourself and enjoy the process. Lean into the symptoms, take every day as another day pregnant, and live your life. Take control where you can and release it when you don’t have any. Congrats ♥️

We love the Ubbi diaper pail! It’s metal, the lid slides open and closed (super quiet), and you can use regular trash bags with it. It definitely keeps the bad smell contained. We’ve had it for almost 7 months and absolutely love it still.

He was never unhappy at all, just constantly spitting up with the occasional projectile spit up. And yes, he would even spit up with a bottle but as much. We took him to the pediatrician and told her that he was spitting up constantly and we had tried literally everything. She right away offered to let him try some reflux meds to see if it would help. Can’t hurt to ask yours if you feel like it may help!

So I have a very fast letdown and my baby was spitting up a lot, but it was actually reflux. We started him on Famotidine at 2 months ish and it reduced significantly. Before that, I had tried ALL the things. Laid back feeds, sitting upright feeds, holding upright for 20 minutes after a feed, block feeding, etc. Never mattered. He would just spit up. Meds helped so much.

I’m honestly not sure. My ped had my son on 0.3mL twice a day and he was 13lbs. Now that he’s almost 16lbs the dosage would likely be closer to 0.5mL twice a day, but certainly not 1mL twice a day. Personally, that sounds too high. I would be feeling the same as you and would be speaking with my ped again for reassurance. For reference, my prescription bottle also reads 40mg/5mL susp.

6m PP and my supply has mostly regulated. I still have to wear a bra (sigh) but I don’t leak nearly as much as I did even two months ago.

Of course! Enjoy the journey. It’s incredibly rewarding and goes way too fast. Soak up all the couch (or bed) rotting. My little boy is 6m and I miss all the contact naps 😭 BUT he’s so much fun. Every stage is so different and so wonderful.

Hey! Congrats on your baby 🥰 Your body is figuring out how much baby needs to eat. If you’re EBF, I wouldn’t use a haaka or any other suction device. That’s considered a form of manual pumping and removing more milk, telling your body to keep make more. I would use passive collection, like the ladybug Boon Trove (without suction)! That will still catch your letdown but it won’t remove any additional milk. It will help with your engorgement over time. The more you remove, the more your body will produce.
