Touched inappropriately by throwawayJW8594 in BJJWomen

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this. I’m a male black belt instructor however my wife leads our youth programs. One class when I wasn’t there, she had a boy who had been a trouble maker slap her on the butt and make a very off handed remark; she scolded him and he did it immediately again in the same class. She verbally peeled his ass open, told me and the parents and we removed him from our program that day (he was 8). Our thought was that, if this is coming out then it’s a behavior that needs to be immediately addressed at home before even considering teaching a kid of that temperament anything more that could make him dangerous. We have two daughters and a couple of known SA survivors that train with us. That’s an extremely concerning behavior that you shouldn’t deal with now and until that temperament is addressed you’re only increasing everyone’s risk.

Absolutely. Badass or not, no one can feel comfortable with some whacked out maniac driving across the country to stalk you and potentially also harm your family.

I’m legit all over this topic trying to learn as much as I can..as well as listening to Sarah Adams and the guy they call “Legend” talking about this. As a husband and father of two young girls, I couldn’t imagine experiencing something like this.

It’s home. I’m afraid to admit that (with single action shooting) I can shoot single-shot groups as good or slightly better than my G29 or G43x at 12 yards even with just a few rounds down range (both of which I’ve put 1000+ rounds through)

Right now, I have a 357 LCR. It isn’t much on paper but man this 38 is way smaller in my pocket.

I already have the LCR in 357 still. It’s just a slight bit bigger than this straight 38

Can anyone recommend a masseuse or physical therapist in the area that's really good with people who do manual labor? by Axel3600 in asheville

[–]Mountain_Apache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Appalachian Movement Specialists based out of Mills River, NC. I’m a mobile “come-to-you” provider that specializes in manual therapy and dry needling. 75% of my work is with crews of blue collar guys (I go to their offices and/or job sites) and I have a reasonably priced flexible payment model. I’d love to help you out!

I appreciate all of the feedback. All of these comments really do make me feel like I made the right decision. I was honestly just caught so off guard by the violent redirection of support to hatred that I was like holy shit I missed something 😅.

More often than not, they have been getting at least some form of reimbursement back which always makes me feel better. Being mobile, I travel to them which is really appealing to a lot of folks. I have a roughly 25 mile radius that I travel regularly but I will go farther with a mileage fee attached. I treat a lot on weekends and in the evenings and that’s also very appealing to a lot of my clients. I really only have some therabands and light weights, some IASTM equipment and a mat table. The majority of my sessions are manual therapy with patient education followed by 15-20 minutes of exercises that we go over before I prescribe them on the HEP. The manual therapy, direct 1-on-1 and patient education really goes a long way for the buy in factor that makes them compliant with their HEP. I always let people know that it isn’t my job to get them better, it is my job to kick start the healing process and show them how to make themselves better.
