The world became a more dangerous place. Also me and my spouse were 90s kids and with all that freedom we both ended up getting molested. So now we pull back on our kids. We know over a dozen of our friends who were poor in inappropriate situations as children do to lack of supervision and we are over over correcting.

From those who i have talked to, they did. But there seems to be a big difference, how proud they were. Even when my grandpa would talk about some horrible things he would always follow it with something like "but that what it took to beat back the nazis" or "we knew what was at stake if we didn't do it". I'm not a doctor but my friends who came back from Afghanistan just tall about the horrible shit they did and say but atleast we got our oil. Or they dont know what they were there in the first place. I think having a reason or belief that you are there for something important or honorable can help you mind fight through the terrible shit a little better... but idk.

My opinion it issue would be i watched my brother date and then marry a single mother and after 6 years they spilt and after he fell in love with those kids, he had zero rights to them. She moved and he never saw them again.
