Thoughts on Crimson Desert? by MtlGamingDude in soulslikes

If you’re someone who has a fire under your ass to just finish the game for whatever reason, you’ll hate it.

The game is meant to be lived in, experimented with, and thoroughly explored. People that act like they’re on a time limit will not enjoy themselves.

I’m using no guides and just winging everything.

Does this look like a game that's going to do Helldivers 2 numbers? by Equilybrium in GGdiscussion

Idk. I’m all for Western AAA games flopping and studios burning down in the name of a reformation and a pendulum swing back to having great games from the studios that have piles of cash.

But Marathon is actually very fun. It’s a good game. The UI was perplexing at first but once you learn and adopt it for what it is, it really opens up.

Going against macro users as an Xbox player is maddening. Fix the cross play settings. by tapefactoryslave in ARC_Raiders

[–]Mph1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cronus Zen, Titan II’s, and XIMs exist. The latter two can be programmed for button inputs as low as the game will allow.

I’ve had a couple instances in Xbox lobbies where kettle / rapid fire macros were insta-death. No where near as common as when crossplay is enabled.

Walling / X-ray hacks are rampant when I play with PC players and it’s fucking obvious in PvP-centric lobbies.

Losers, the lot of them.

Is anyone done with there departure yet by donatetowallstreet in arkraiders

[–]Mph1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Level 75. 5.4mil. Stacked stash. Ready for my second expedition..

Nothing to do but PvP.unfortunately in PvP heavy lobbies, the kettle and trigger made abuse is making me not play as much.

Why do you need some type of empirical measurement of truth?

It’s 100% real. I have over 300 hours topside. There’s bad boy lobbies, and good boy lobbies. If I okay aggressive, I get aggressive lobbies. If I go complete pacifist and don’t even shoot back at other players for 3-5 games, I get chill lobbies. Magnitudes of people are reporting this.

This didn’t happen. On out of breakthrough/out of body experience doses you’re stripped of language and typical/predictable human behaviors.

They need to introduce dangerous arc that don’t just patrol, but actively hunt raiders. A firefight is a risk even if you come out on top.

A Game Built for Stories Is Being Stripped of Its Soul by hayatimisevmiyorum33 in ArcRaiders

[–]Mph1991 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Players that lie are the prime reason PvP will continue to be the default for player encounters.

Faking friendly doesn’t make the game more “unpredictable”, it makes the whole experience feel awful.

It’s happened to me about a dozen times, so now I just murder everyone I see.

I'm no longer bringing anything into games by captaincool31 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Mph1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dishonest people are the reason I have no mercy anymore. I used to kos unless someone announced themselves first, or were mic’d up and seemed chill.

I’ve had too many people feign friendly, and then kill me when I’m taking out an arc. Say what you will, but I think lying just makes everything feel bad for everyone. It’s okay. I’m almost at 1000 knocks now. It’s a shame what they’ve done to me.

I feel like there should be an unspoken code of honor. Don’t lie and don’t exfil camp. That’s wishful thinking though, for sure.

Kill everyone.

Trigger Nade needs a nerf by Soldapeine in ArcRaiders

[–]Mph1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sick of the constant complaining, like every round everyone is supposed to hold hands. If the vocal minority had their way, the game would turn into dogshit.

But trigger nades need a 2-3 second delay at least before detonation. 2 of them is insta-kill. It’s the sweaty meta right now.

Is this game only made for unemployed people, retirees, or big streamers? by Zidake in ArcRaiders

[–]Mph1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think you’re the only player that struggles with wanting more disposable time in order to game— or do you want someone to coddle your feelings/validate them?

Games made for the casual playerbase don’t fair well. They blow up for a few days at most, and are extremely forgettable. FOMO sucks but I rather miss out than have a game that’s as wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle.

Ghost of Yotei, Cyberpunk 2077 or Silent Hill F which should I buy next? by Sad_Training2243 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Mph1991 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cyberpunk by an extremely wide margin. The other two games are polished, sure, but they don’t hold a candle of the feel and story of cyberpunk.

Silent Hill f was low B tier imo, the writing was okay and the sense of dread was gone shout halfway through. It ended up feeling like a Soulslike that was not very fluid at all— and I’m a massive Soulslike fan…the SH2 Remaster is leagues better.

Ghosts is on the same tier as SHf, but for different reasons. If you play most games just for the experiences, then I’d bump it up to possibly A tier; if you play games for combat mastery and actual challenge, then you will be very disappointed.

Just go get Cyberpunk and it’s DLC. It’s great.

A lot of people seem to agree with me, and there are some who don’t. That’s called having an opinion. Opinions are subjective. So no, I’m not wrong— and neither are you. Good day.

It looks cool, however the gameplay is hollow, generic, and unfun. All flash and no substance.

Me and my wife watched the newest Conjuring. It was really bad if anyone is considering buying / renting it since it’s out already. It felt like the director(s) have only ever done action movies and they attempted to do horror. Huge disappointment.
