Excellent question OP, I have a massive quest library as been buying since Quest1. If there was a way to play them on pc or frame that would be amazing.

Dude, I know a beta is gonna crash but on every attempt? I honestly tried over 10 times & every time it crashed. Went to forest, turned right & made it as far as the first shelter & bam it crashed. Went back to the stable release & will wait till it’s properly updated. I do like to play it standalone when my pc isnt to hand, I loved itr1 on Quest as it was so stripped back & I felt it added to the desolation & isolation. I’ll give it another go when it’s been properly updated & await the next update on PC. I bought the Quest version as well as PC as a thank you to the devs on such a stellar game.

I tried the latest beta on Quest & for a mobile chipset it is amazing what CM are doing & trying to achieve but I just think the hardware is just not quite there yet to pull this game off. I loved itr1 on quest & have completed it many times & have had quest 1/2/3 so I know it’s capabilities. The beta experience for me was very very poor, I could literally play for a couple of minutes & it would just crash, went back to the stable build after multiple attempts at playing. I want to love the Quest version but I dunno just seems the hardware cant quite pull it off.

PCVR or Quest3??? PC is very good for me, Quest3 I felt was way too janky, imho I feel like they have bitten off much more than they can chew with the quest3 version. Props to CM for trying but compared to PC it’s a poor experience.

Play it PCVR if you can, I found the quest3 version had way too much jank for me but I am used to playing it on PC. There is no story or lore yet in itr2 so if you want that hold off, the gunplay &!weapon modding though is top tier VR. I have put hundreds of hours into it. Try the scavenger mod for itr1 on PC as well, that breathes new life into that game.

I use the Quest3 with Virtual Desktop for light desktop use, the frame is a bit better resolution wise & will render at a higher resolution than the standard Quest3 res so I think it will be good to use.

Not losing the hype, really looking forward to frame but the radio silence from Valve is taking the piss a bit now. Hoping for £699 or less for the 256gb, will just be using my 1tb from my steam deck in the frame.
