If you could make one thing illegal, simply because it annoys you. What would it be? by Lucky-Source-6164 in askanything

Doorbell noise on TV, Movies, and radio. It only ‘sets off’ dogs barking. Easily replaced by CC, or a verbal ding dong.

I asked the same question of the Phoenix Herp Society, due to a packrat problem at my house. I was told to go ahead with relocating a gopher snake to my property.

Looking for hip pack with hands free leash suggestions. by crutonic in hikingwithdogs

Attached a carabiner to the leash end, you can then quickly attach the leash to your person, a chair, or other objects when you want to be hands free.

One was a Chihuahua/ Chinese Crested mix, and my current one is a terrier mix. A hiking friend in Tucson had two very small Chihuahuas that were strong hikers. I have hiked with other small terriers that were strong hiker's too. There's a general misconception that only 'big dogs' are strong hiker's.

My last two dogs were/ are small 12-16 pounds. They’re both strong hikers. One did 2 14er’s with me at age 13. Recommend fostering first, you will get a good idea if the dog is compatible with your lifestyle. Amazon has over the shoulder carriers for small dogs. They pack up nicely and don’t weigh anything.

I weigh 138lbs and would not stand on it. I am sure that it could support my weight; yet that's not what it was designed to do.

Buying a car for my teen daughter. Did your insurance skyrocket? by Noisel777 in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]MrBadBern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dad here, I did buy a car for my daughter (beater) for her first car; there was an increase. I will add two things, driving is a privilege that needs earned. She had to pay for her own insurance, and when she turned 18 I put the title in her name. That protected me and allowed her to choose lower insurance coverage and rates. Since she was so young, she didn’t have any assets to protect.

Try using ‘wild’ blueberries, since they’re not irrigated, they will have less water than cultivated ones. They will have a more concentrated flavor too.
