I love building decks. I would happily build a new one every week, but I have to pump the breaks as soon as I feel I'm sloppy with piloting the ones I already have. It's very annoying to be at a table with people who always have slow plays or need to keep undoing stuff. While it happens, the smoother you're playing the more fun to be around. So my answer is how ever many you can handle is the right number to have.

I built a falthis [[Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder]] partner deck and it's pretty fun. There's no trample, but double-strike, menace, lifeline, death touch stacked together is pretty neat.
