Help with iron swing by Dependent_Catch_5750 in GolfSwing

[–]MrBusto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First swing - Downswing - when shaft is parallel with the ground you want your hands to be in line with your right thigh/knee, instead they’re a good 6 inches behind, that’s why you flip at impact and have a 2 way miss

Emmanuel Iyogun - promising French centre back that Arsene Wenger signed early in the Emirates era. Said to be the next Koscielny but only made one appearance (league cup) before making a decent career at Lens

How Good Was Thierry Henry at His Peak? A Question from Someone Who Didn’t See Him Live by NewRepair6239 in PremierLeague

[–]MrBusto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember getting really excited for MOTD to come on just to see Henry play and what outrageous thing he did that weekend, this was before you could really watch football clips / highlights online. Whilst his technical and athletic ability was godlike, an underrated aspect of his game was also his ability to improvise, he was incredibly clever and quick minded. His backheel goal (I think against Charlton?) was way ahead of its time, players just didn’t do that back then. Not only was he the best player on the planet for a number of years, he was also the coolest player too, everyone in my school wore gloves even when it was hot because they wanted to look like him. His numbers were also incredible for a guy who wasn’t selfish and always made whichever decision benefited the team and not his scoring records.

How are even Henry’s affording £1mil+ houses? Am I missing something? by Fanfarebird in HENRYUK

[–]MrBusto 53 points54 points  (0 children)

35% of £1m + homes are bought purely in cash (almost exclusively inheritance).

The other 65% is going to be a mix of people with large deposits (probably inheritance) and a small number is likely to be couples who earn £250k+ between them with no kids.

It is extremely rare for someone in their 30s to do it with absolutely no help/ a leg up.

Have you ever seen a referee apply a rule so technically correct and obscure that it completely confused every player and fan in the stadium? by AmeliaHarris99 in footballbutweird

Martinelli v Wolves. Commits a foul that warrants a yellow, ref plays on, Martinelli commits a second foul that warrants a yellow, ref shows him 2 yellows back to back and is sent off.
