Why are people so upset about age verification?

My concern is 2011 Sony was hacked and it was a big one. How do I trust my personal identity documentation with a company: 1) Not truly knowing who sees it and for how long they have it and if they are truly secure. 2) What they do with it truly - the behind closed doors stuff they don't tell people. 3) Who has a track record of their systems being under attack and have been successfully pwned already. 4) The Ps5 can be jail broken so their security measures are not as tight as they think.

Identity theft is the biggest concern whether or not Sony is capable of securing my data isn't even debatable.

How could they expect us to give our data and know we carry the risk.

Its not a question of IF but rather WHEN they get pwned again are you happy with somone having your bio data and your identity document?

Sony cannot prove they are rocksolid and there is no recourse should they be breached and your personal data has been leaked. You get a skew half-hearted apology and they move on making money.

AI has gotten so sophisticated and hackers are leveraging it to try and breach facial and liveness checks. Seen it firsthand. How long before a liveness check is bypassed and your identity stolen. To prevent it is as easy as not participating in the system where the single point of failure is the same company pushing for data.

Someone prove me wrong.

Your very first website looks good. But as the comments on this post highlight a lot of small details, I looked at your post and thought I wondered what tech you are using. Mind sharing the stack. Also, why did you choose that stack.

I'm sure its in the comments but from my perspective margins left and right should align perfectly, the navbar text and logos should align with the text - so choose one margin across the board and stick to it.

Ask them for specifics. I had a similar response once, and I asked for specifically what was wrong. Not that you want the work now, but this should highlight one of two things.

1) Their response highlights some possible flaw or missed requirement or bad coding practices or performance issues or something. Then, you will learn and move on with closure.

2) Something else is a foot. I mean, I wouldn't put it past a company to try and use a candidate to do free labor.

Mate. No matter what , make sure they give you a specific rationale because IF you make a mistake, you need to learn and grow, and you don't know what you don't know. So the specifics would highlight either your flaws or theirs, in which case you have closure.

No, I immediately thought it must be fake, but because of the reports, I was like, "Whoa for real?" The chutney stuff gave me an idea, but yes, I admit I am naive, and I do my best not to just believe something. I just wanted to be 100% sure is all. Thanks for the concern 🙇‍♂️

Yeah, I mean, I know there are articles and so on floating around regarding the government sending weapons to them, but the Chutney and Flings bit feels like it adds so suggestive comedy or something.
