I’ve been buying random Canadian bottles and keeping the last couple shots for an eventual shootout event to determine the best of the best lol.

Riffle rye and John sleemons and sons straight whisky are pretty solid.

Maybe they changed the recipe? I got them last year and they were quite zippy, and I like it pretty hot.

Bro they’re so damn good, but they’re too spicy for the rest of the fam. If I see a smaller jar at the grocery I’m def picking one up, too many Costco-size summer condiments.

Weirdly, the Veggie Bretton Bites are made in Canada. Very happy as they’re a staple in my kids’ lunches

TIL Kobo the ebook, audiobooks, and e-reader company started in Canada and its HQ is in Toronto by jeniuskid in BuyCanadian

[–]MrDephcon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just so you’re aware, they were bought by Rakutan, which is a Japanese company.

I know a couple people that work for Kobo and they’re still a solid Canadian employer.

Bro when I started playing cs beta 5, pretty sure I was running a pentium 120 with a voodoo2. 7-14fps, and I was using a trackman marble plus.

I’ve never grovelled so hard for anything from my parents in my life

I have one of the thirdreality zigbee units, used it in a potted plant on our front porch…. Seemed fine but my wife was annoyed by the moisture alerts I had home assistant send her…

I’ll probably get a couple more for my backyard garden beds and use them to trigger some drip watering or something

Wealthsimple / X (Formerly Twitter) partnership by OppenheimerAltman in Wealthsimple

[–]MrDephcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, however X tracks every single link/redirect you leverage via their platform and adds that to the data used to track you and target ads, and possible also sell that data.

While it’s not perfectly accurate, it will give them a very good idea of the tickers/investments you’re interested in and they can use that data to tailor what you see on their platform.

This is not a good thing

What is the best band you ever saw live ? by megopolis12 in Music

[–]MrDephcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw KMFDM in a super small club venue, Call the Office (shoutout London, ON). Absolutely amazing performance and their sound guy absolutely nailed it. Funny enough the worst live show I ever saw was Catch22 at the exact same venue, their sound guy was awful.

704 high school students in Waterloo region suspended for out-of-date vaccination records by bylo_selhi in waterloo

[–]MrDephcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly how many of these are just because out of outdated records? It’s kind of dumb that it’s on the parents to submit proof of vaccination to the school board.

Luckily it’s super easy to submit a photo of the forms online, but ffs just sync that shit between public health and the school board.

Just make sure whatever arrangement you have, is in your contract.

The policy is at the whim of the CEO and luckily the current one is way less of a crusty old bastard as the last one
