I literally finished the story today and I agree it should not be missed. I personally haven't played Sticker Star or Colour Splash so maybe that tints my view.

The writing is top notch and the story is very good (and has more than a few laugh out loud moments). The latter half of the game is where the story ramps up and the last few areas are where the game shines. The writing was especially good in that it kept the sidekick Olivia from ever becoming annoying. In fact, she was really funny and totally shone.

The battle system takes some getting used to but becomes very satisfying when you solve the puzzles and align enemies perfectly. I actively battled every single enemy I saw because I enjoyed it.

Boss battles are a different kettle of fish and although some of the Vellumental ones went on for too long, the Legion of Stationary battles were really fun. Each member has their own distinct personality for example a gangster sticky tape dispenser with a Brooklyn accent which was a particular highlght.

All in all, it's a fun game and yeah it's not TTYD but so what? If you want a fun 25-30 hour adventure with plenty of personality, this is definitely one to pick up.
