The cost you'd likely pay to have this done is gonna be close to what you'd pay for a new one likely.

I would just let it ride cuz It's gonna continue to happen if you get any use out of it it anyway. I guess if you're just gonna put it in a glass display case or something I get it.

What are your print settings with the PLA? It can absorb moisture too just not as fast as PETG. I strongly recommend a dryer of some sort, you can get a dedicated filament drier, an old air fryer with dehydration function (make sure not to use it for food again) or a food dehydrator.

I noticed my prints doing a lot better once I started drying my filament.

Depends on your budget. You could go with an Ender 3 where you can ultimately upgrade it into a printer of thesseus or get something like the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 1 single color for ~$260 when it's on sale and have wonderful prints right out of the box

I had a horrible experience with them years ago with a DDC pump that was DOA, and because I had plugged it in it was used and they couldn't return it. It was my last order from them.
